  Not for couples!!!

  Top tip - this hotel is based around the children so is not really suitable for couples. Only a small section of the evenings were for the adults to enjoy, the rest of the time it was all for the children. The hotel and room were nice. Food was good. Not all drinks are included in 'All Inclusive'! We are an older couple and we went in May. It was very busy with children, couldn't use the adult pool because it was full of children. Had to squeeze past all the pushchairs parked outside the restaurant each night. This is advertised as a family hotel but we thought they might also consider the couples too! We went out most days for some peace and quiet!

  Great hotel for toddlers but disappointing food/drinks

  Beautiful location, easy walk into town, very clean, friendly staff, spacious apartmentLovely stay and play sessions for under 3s, good quality cots and high chairs available to hire, lots of space for our toddler to play, plenty of high chairs in the restaurant, chilled atmosphere, quiet at night time Unfortunately food and drinks were really not good, standard was nowhere near as good as other 4 star all inclusive hotels we have stayed in.

  Returned today from our first holiday with our 9 months old baby and what a fab time we had.Firstly the hotel is big spread out over a few pools. We spent our pool times around the quieter pool . We had a room in block 7 room 7208 with Lovely side sea view this block is across the service road which in ten days not a single car passed by that we seen. The hotel is spotless clean and staff seem friendly enough throughout particularly resteraunt staff who my baby loved and they interacted with him which was so lovely and kind when they are very busy. . The bar ques can be long however the staff work hard to get these down during day and night.The food seems to be a different theme every night and was lovely. We did eat out a few times as we were there for 10 days. We are doing blw and kids buffet was perfect for this plenty options each day and my baby ate well. The snack bar available day time was good enough and a different choice each day . Ice lollies and ice creams also included lovely . Entertainment is fab for kids and adults day and night something to keep everyone happy even my baby loved the stay and play sessions and play dates with the baby club. My baby loved the familiar toys and books from home and nice staff, he liked Melinda and zainab from baby club particularly they are a credit to tui thank you for making him feel welcome and comfortable in baby club. Ashley what a voice! And a great entertainer every day he puts in a massive effort and it stands out again a credit to tui .The team show on the Friday night show was brilliant one of the only night time shows we seen due to early beds for our baby but it was brilliant thank you! The hotel is situated perfectly by the sea with lovely views and a ten min stroll to Cala bona and the gorgeous resteraunts and bars around the harbour.We did get photos taken staff are lovely but photos are expensive €15 for one which seems excessive . One negative I would say is other guests cleanliness that let this hotel down , I used daily hand gel/ anti bacterial wipes as in a busy environment like this particularly germs spread easy -guests openly coughing near buffet allowing children to help themself with hands at the buffet . Kids taking a drink and putting a cup back with the clean ones, Adult ladies using toilet and leaving without washing hands , hopefully no one blames the hotel when they take ill and should look at their own hygiene standards firstly as what I witnessed was disgusting at times. We had no illnesses and I believe this was due to taking precautions such as using hand gel when using high touch areas. Our apartment in block 7 was perfect roomy small kitchenette with all essentials not often the normal in all inclusive resort . Tui blue guides are friendly however the male comes across abrupt and slightly rude when asking a simple question. All in all We had a perfect holiday and can’t wait to book to return to this hotel next year bringing more family hopefully the same entertainment team are here as they really contributed to a fab holiday for us thank you!

  Avoid if you expect 4-Star Tui Blue Standards

  Avoid if you expect 4-Star Tui Blue Standards.As experienced travellers who have taken 7 Tui holidays across Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Morocco in the last 18 months, we are well-accustomed to all-inclusive quirks. However, Mallorca Mar falls shockingly short of the Tui Blue brand. We stayed here for 10 nights as a family of three with our nearly 2-year-old daughter, and by night 8, we had seen more than enough. Having experienced previous Tui Blue hotels I am surpised that Tui would put their name to this hotel.The positives are:- beautiful views of the sea from bottom of the hotel- spacious and recently renovated rooms- Good location - the maid service/room cleaning is very good(and ironically being the friendliest staff members) - the food is good quality however it is also repetitive and ALWAYS cold- there are plenty of green spaces with grass and trees and not your typical concrete jungle- two of the external entertainment nights were good such as the "Tanzania show" and the "All stars"The negatives are expansive:- The entertainment is dreadful (especially Ashley and Martas late night music quiz where they sing at you then ask you patronising questions in the fashion primary school teachers would.- food is ALWAYS cold- Snack is inedible- the queues for the bar are excessively long as there is only one bar- the drinks are diabolical (think weak cocktails, undrinkable beer and anything else you have to pay extra for) - the staff are terrible, they don't interact with you or even acknowledge you. - The grounds need urgent maintenance. Weeds are growing through the paths, and cracked concrete tiles create a constant tripping hazard.- full of idiosyncratic rules such as can't take coffee from breakfast even though its the only place to get a drink before 10am. Or dark rum is included in some AI cocktails but if you want it on its own with a Coke you have to pay for it.- a clear prejudice towards spanish guests over other nationalities (better drinks, cooking fresh food ect) - no table service for drinks in restaurant, no table water, allocating a table or any service at all. - main pool isnt heated and so is unusable(though the indoor pool is heated) - public road runs through middle of resort and posses a safety risk as evening entertainment room faces directly onto the road with no barrier to stop children running through automatic doors onto the road. - evening entertainment finishes at 9.30/10pm most nights and they don't even have background music after this- food labelled up wrong fish nuggets labelled up as chicken nuggets, pork labelled up as chicken - an anaphylatic incident waiting to happen. - the food is repetitive - if you love pork, oh boy are you in luck, its pretty much all they serve.- the a la cart is like fawlty towers, beyond shameful - we couldn't help but laugh (forgot orders, serving next course before clearing plates of previous course, cold and forgotten food) - staff are petty when you make a complaint, for example when in the gym they have signs asking guest to wipe down equipment, the gym had not had antibac spray for 3 days so asked for some, the leisure attendant ignored the question and in response stormed into the gym and shouted and pointed at our child asleep in a pram in the corner of the empty gym that had no other hotel guests in and insisted we left (despite being in their for atleast 20 mins prior). - no hand sanitisers anywhere- you have to pay to have your towell cleaned - no water in the room We arrived on a Saturday and for the first few days appeared to have a relaxed quiet vibe, which after a few days you realise is a lackluster vibe, with no music in the main bar whilst waiting for entertainment in the evenings and sitting with the firealarm going off for 45 minutes one evening! However by the Friday, the hotel had transformed into the most grotesque, polar opposite hotel imaginable - the Spanish locals descend on the hotel in their 100s (i literally mean 200-300) like butlins and benidorm merged together with blaring music all day and overly sexualised ceedy dance "lessons" all day, twerking, * dropping and grinding against each other in very inappropriate clothing - it was horrible to witness. Management completely allows these massive groups to take over and ruin the holiday for week-long guests.They were like a plague of locusts, rude, ignorant, shouting and dirty such as picking food up from the buffet with their hands and eating the food from the buffet as they walk around collecting more food. Honestly it was truly gross. They all slowly left by the Sunday or Monday and peace and tranquility was restored to the hotel, even one of the reception staff said how peaceful it was now they have left and told us it was a big group of local Mallorcans and how loud and rude they all were. Why does the hotel allow bookings of 100s to come and take over the hotel with their own DJs and instructors blasting music for 3 nights and ruin all the other guests holiday? Any complaints are met with shrugs and comments that try to invalidate your just complaint. The staff are really uninterested in their guests, for example on our 8th night at this hotel because I bought a beer into the restaurant from the bar (again an idiosyncratic rule, and staff being petty when you don't abide by them) the front of house held us up infront of a queue of guests entering the restaurant and questioned if we were actually from the hotel and what our room number was before marching us over to the computer to check we werent lieing, despite it being our 8th night and not acknowledging us for the past 7 nights, not even so much as a Hello or smile. If you can get this for a cheap, budget break under £100 per person per night, it might be worth it just for the room and location. Do not buy into the 4-star rating or the Tui Blue branding. Paying peak summer prices (upwards of £1,500 a week) for this level of service and safety is absolutely absurd. Save your money and book elsewhere. The idiosyncrasies of this place are far too vast to list but I promise you they will spoil your enjoyment of your holiday.

  The Mallorca Mar is in a great location with very efficient, helpful and friendly staff. The dining area is very large and very well run, providing a wide variety of lovely fresh food at all meal times. The entertainment provided is very good for both children and adults and the pool areas are of a very high standard and lifeguards are plentiful. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and kept very clean. A short walk brings you to the Marina, shopping and restaurant areas and a free shuttle bus service is provided by the hotel to take guests on the short journey to the beach. We would highly recommend the Gruphotel Mallorca Mar to all.
