Location

This captivating luxury hotel is situated on the top of a small bank approximately 500 m from the Playa de Palma and 15 km from Palma itself. It is just 400 m to the beach and 500 m to the resort's centre. Shops, bars, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs are all to be found within 200 metres of the hotel. The nearest public transport links are only 150 m away and there is a golf course within easy reach.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 133 suites located in a 3-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and German-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs. Lectures, presentations and meetings can be held in one of the 2 conference rooms.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure comfortable indoor temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the pool from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. All kitchenettes come with a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pool complex ensures comfortable swimming with its indoor and outdoor pools and pleasantly heated water. Children can enjoy a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. A variety of activities such as tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, crazy golf and golf or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking, are offered at the hotel. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy water aerobics and aquafit. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. An entertainment programme and live music round out the entertainment options.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café, a bar and a pub. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A generous breakfast buffet, a lunch à la carte and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    I've stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, but the Grupotel Playa de Palma Suites & Spa genuinely exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment you arrive, it feels less like a hotel and more like a private resort — elegant, spacious, impeccably clean, and run by staff who actually seem to love what they do.But let me talk about what really sets this place apart: the food and the spa.The breakfast buffet is extraordinary. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had — an enormous spread with something for every taste and dietary need, presented beautifully and kept fresh throughout the morning. The dinner buffet in the evening is equally impressive, with a wide variety of dishes and quality ingredients that rival standalone restaurants. But the crown jewel of the dining experience is the rooftop Sky Restaurant. Eating dinner up there — with panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the warm Mallorcan air — is simply magical. It's the kind of meal you'll be talking about when you get home.The Spa & Wellness Centre is a world unto itself. Sauna, steam bath, sanarium, ice fountain, hydromassage, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, relax area — the facilities are comprehensive and beautifully maintained. After a day of sightseeing, spending an evening working your way through the thermal circuit feels like the most luxurious thing in the world. The gym is well-equipped too, with daily fitness classes that are genuinely excellent.The suites are spacious and comfortable, most with private balconies that get sun throughout the day — perfect for a quiet morning coffee with a view. The hotel is immaculate throughout, and the attentive staff keep everything that way around the clock.Highly, highly recommend. This is the kind of hotel you book once and return to year after year.

    The hotel is located in a beautiful natural cove surrounded by high cliffs and lovely beach. It also faces south so you have the sun all day long and into the evening for a wonderful sunset.The rooms are very spacious with lots of storage and beds are very very comfortable. They also have a large veranda which is quite private too, and with sunbeds supplied it is great if you just want to catch a bit of sun away from the pool.For the price and quality of room, hotel and service it really is value for money.All areas of the hotel and the rooms are immaculate. Rooms cleaned daily and all tables in restaurant and bars are looked after by the staff constantly.As this is adults only, the noise levels during the day are great. At night, the entertainment in the bars are really good. You can have a choice of watching a show or chilling in the piano bar, or alternatively watch sports in the sports bar.The only thing about the location is that you cant just walk into the town, however the hotel provides daily bus service to one of the local towns free of charge should you wish to do that. There is always a good reasonably priced public bus service within 150 meters of the hotel or taxi service to anywhere you want to go on the island.All in all it is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff in a quiet location. I would highly recommend and will be back again that's for sure.

    Check in ok. However u don’t get any milk sachets in the room to make your tea or coffee. No black teabags. No room service for food or snacks you have to go to the restaurant. Bedrooms do not have USB Plugs had to go buy adapters & European 2 pin plugs. Had to ask for shower gel as bottle in shower cubical was empty 1 bottle Water only complimentary on arrival there’s a large supermarket 5 mins away. Don’t pay small spar supermarket prices €1.50 a bottle when u can purchase 6 bottles. The Spa was lovely although water in main pool was cold. Too many nudists in saunas for our liking. Not necessary to go nude and keep exposing your private’s then putting your bikini or shirts back on when out of Sauna. Lovely hotel. Staff at breakfast were good but done argued you have to go get yourself cold milk for your black tea.     Large disjointed hotel, poor restaurant

    The hotel is very large and made up of a few sections joined by lengthy corridors. The positives are the breakfast buffet, the pool and the room.The negatives are the sprawling cold nature of the hotel, the really poor evening restaurant food, and the poor hotel surrounding area. S'arenal itself is quite run down with few redeeming features.
