    Fantastic Value Out of Season

Perfect location close to the waterfront. Small hotel with rooftop pool and lovely staff. Amazing value out of season. We had a brilliant time walking, sunning ourselves and eating in the restaurants locally. Lovely weeks stay at the cultural.

    rating13 Sept 2025

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. The check in process was smooth, although it was at the sister hotel, which is 2 minutes away by foot. We had standard rooms, which were small but very clean and well appointed. I would choose a balcony room if I was to visit again. The breakfast offering was varied and served to you(which I prefer, rather than a buffet). The seating outside looked over the square and was a nice way to start the day. We also used the bar in the evening, with outdoor seating(same area as breakfast). I must point out the staff, who were all excellent. Professional, courteous and always happy. Special mentions to Alfonzo and Pere, who looked after us. The location was perfect. 5 minutes to the sea and 5 minutes to the bus stop. We used local buses to travel around, which were cheap and convenient. , Dueño at Hoposa Hotel Cultural Boutique, responded to this review Dear Ali,Thank you so much for sharing your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your week with us and appreciated our location. We are especially pleased with your kind words about our team. Alfonzo and Pere, along with the rest of our staff, will be very happy to hear your compliments. We truly look forward to welcoming you back in the future, perhaps in one of our balcony rooms for an even more enjoyable stay.Best regards,Giuseppe Moscovio,Hotel Manager.

    Not a 4 star hotel.

    rating05 Sept 2025

Not a 4 star hotel in any way. This hotel is very misleading. It gives the illusion that the ground floor restaurant / terrace is a reception and very much part of the hotel. Something that actually sold it to us as we decided between 2 hotels. It appears that Hoposa chain had just taken occupancy of rooms above a separate restaurant, with an agreement with them to provide breakfast. We arrived and were asked to go and check in at a reception 2 blocks down the street. Bizzare. So one of us went whilst the other stayed with all of our bags. Essentially, it's a shared reception with the Daina hotel (another hoposa). Room was okay, bathroom nicely clean and modern, but the room felt basic. Balconies didn't feel private either. No dividers meant you just look onto neighbouring rooms. We had major security issues with our room which could have been a disaster if we hadn't checked. Anyway, it took hours for these to these be semi-resolved, with a promised resolution the following day. Aside from that, there was not even a bottle of water provided upon arrival. Again, a 4 star hotel should provide this. (We had just arrived from another 4 star in another town and the difference was glaringly obvious). The rooftop terrace / pool was nice, but again, basic, no toilet, no bar, no staff, nothing. I'm guessing you would have to take your own drinks up? But without a fridge in the room, I'm not sure where anyone can get a cold beverage on a 35 degree day. A supposed 4 star hotel, with not a single staff member on site for any assistance or to ask a question? Either having to go back to your room to ring reception, or go 2 blocks away to find someone face to face. Felt more like self catering / staying in your own apartment. Breakfast was at the restaurant on ground floor that is pictured. Food is lovely and it's nice choosing from a menu and having it served (vs buffet), but it was BUSY, open to the public and guests. So was a 30 minute wait for a drink, 1 hour wait for food. If you're out for the day and just want a quick tea and bowl of cereal, this would be even more frustrating. Even the juice size they serve is thimble sized so not being able to get your own drink at least is annoying. Allowing guests to do that would surely reduce the burden. Having visited the reception in the other hotel multiple times to sort our room, I just couldn't believe they were claiming both were 4 stars! they were POLAR opposites. My advice would be to review all the hoposa options at least, and compare price, if it's a few of hundred difference and you're able to go for that, do it. You'll receive a proper hotel experience instead of feeling like the poor relations chucked above a restaurant and forgotten about with no one there to ensure you have a nice stay. I will say that the manager was very helpful, polite and understanding and resolved our complaints promptly. He also then checked on us when seeing us around so that was nice. , Dueño at Hoposa Hotel Cultural Boutique, responded to this review Dear Mtra90, First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us on Tripadvisor. We would like to express our sincere apologies that you had a negative experience in our hotel. Kindly be advised that our team is working on the case and will follow up accordingly. Regarding the check in in Daina hotel, we are sorry you didn’t receive the information after your booking, we will follow up and make sure this will not happen in the future. We are extremely sorry if the safe issue took more time than should be fixed, I can guarantee this was an isolated case, in Hoposa hotels we are really taking care of the safety of our guests. Every single feedback is seriously taken into consideration, and we will work hardly to improve and achieve our guests’ satisfactions. We hope your next stay at Hoposa Hoteles will be a pleasant journey and look forward to welcoming you back again.Kind RegardsHotel ManagerGiuseppe Moscovio
