  Pure heavenly bliss

  Wonderful experience, beautiful location by nature reserve and right next to the beach. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Stylish accommodation, along with an endless indoor and outdoor facilities. Not forgetting food and drink in abundance and high quality. Absolutely stunning situation which we’ll return to again soon.

  Fabulous all inclusive family holiday

  We loved our stay at PortBlue Pollença. We stayed as a family of 5 in 2 rooms all inclusive. Three generations from the age of 2 up to the age of 63. The staff were all excellent from check in to departure, all very professional and positive. Our Village room(s) were spacious, quiet and very clean. The facilities suited us well and were all very clean. We spent most of our time at the main pool and it was great for a 2 year old as had shallow entrances at both end - he loved it. The food was good, lots of choice and decent quality.The resort is an easy bus/taxi ride away from Pollenca and Alcudia - I would say not walkable due to the busy road. We didn’t hear the road noise at all during our stay.We are not cyclists but it appears to be a perfect resort if you are as there were lots of cyclists staying there.   5 stars for animation team

  Lovely hotel, great location, quiet but close enough to Alcúdia and Pollentia which are both great places to visit. The 5 stars is mainly for the animation team, Fathi, clearly knows the hotel and guests like the back of his hand and works tirelessly organising, creating a great atmosphere, looking after guests and making sure everything ran smoothly with regard to entertainment. All of the animation team during my stay were great, but special mention to Pedro, who was a lovely guy, really friendly, inclusive, knew all the children (and most adults) by first name and was so kind and helpful to everyone, a real credit to the team! Great selection of activities and competitions during the day. The waiting staff are excellent, all hard working and friendly. Hotel and rooms comfortable and clean, beautiful outlook on to the sea and easy transport to nearby towns via regular bus. No sandy beach nearby but a 5 minute bus to nearby Pollentia has a lovely beach. The exterior acts bought in for entertainment weren’t always of the highest quality but still provided good energy and a good laugh. Got very very busy during the May half term, due to its location a lot of cyclists too, the buffet got very busy of an evening but there is an adults only buffet if not travelling with children. Food was pretty good compared to almost of the all inclusive hotels I’ve stayed at. Be careful of the all inclusive menus though as some items in the bars and lunch cafe incur an extra charge, as do a lot of the ice creams and drinks. Great picturesque pool, gets busy but not too much sun bed reserving going on. An absolutely amazing spa, very comprehensive with great views, however we were turned away because you only get 90 mins free access if you book direct with the hotel. Something not stated on TUI or package holiday websites. Incurs a €20 pp fee. However after explaining to reception the amount we paid for the holiday and the fact the package deal didn’t explain this fee, they were happy to provide us with a 90 minute visit on one of our days, well worth it too. Great 4* hotel, nice quiet location with enough to do locally, really really great staff and animation team.   No Air Con

  Any positive attributes of this hotel were completely negated by the major drawbacks and issues we experienced throughout our stay.The main issue was the air conditioning. During the day it appeared to be limited to 20 degrees, and overnight it was completely turned off, despite daytime temperatures being between 25–30°C and nighttime temperatures not dropping below 19°C. Everyone knows that temperatures feel much hotter than this in reality, especially in a small hotel room with little ventilation. The room became unbearably hot and stuffy during the day, and with no air conditioning overnight there was no way to cool it down.We tried to avoid spending time in the room during the day, but obviously this wasn’t possible overnight when trying to sleep. We spoke to reception staff on several occasions about the issue. The first night we were told an electrician would come to look at it, but nobody ever came. We were then told it was actually company policy not to have the air conditioning running properly. When we called again, another staff member admitted that many guests had been complaining but said there was nothing they could do.The next day we spoke to customer relations, who explained that because the weather had been cooler the previous week, the air conditioning usage had been restricted. She acknowledged that temperatures had become much warmer during our stay, but said nobody at the hotel could remove the restriction and that we would have to wait for a management meeting due to take place on the second-to-last day of our holiday. At that point we gave up hope. I’m not sure whether the meeting ever happened, but the air conditioning never worked properly during our entire 5-day stay.It is completely unacceptable to advertise air conditioning as a facility and then either disable it overnight or restrict it to the point where it does not actually cool the room. Because we had no overnight cooling, we had no choice but to sleep with the balcony doors open. Not only did this make us feel unsafe, but we also left the holiday covered in mosquito bites as a result.Unfortunately, this was not the only issue. Other problems included:* No complimentary water anywhere in the hotel, not even in the gym* Dirty pools* Mini golf advertised but unavailableAdditionally, we booked through EasyJet and were told, quite rudely, that even if I spent a significant amount of money on a spa treatment, I still would not have access to the spa facilities unless I paid an extra €20 because I had not booked directly through the hotel. Apparently guests who booked directly were allowed 90 minutes’ spa access after treatments. This policy felt ridiculous and extremely unfriendly toward guests who booked through travel providers.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not somewhere I would return to or recommend.
