Misleading and not baby friendly

Lots to say about hotel atolon. The pool area and bar area are lovely in the day and are its major selling point as it’s right by the sea. It’s in a great area with lots nearby too. The breakfast was ok and had plenty of choice. However, we booked this hotel and it looked small and what we wanted but when we arrived we were told we were staying in the hotel across the road. Very very misleading. The room itself was a bit small and we struggled to get a pram in and had to block the door at night just for some extra space. The room did have a broken ceiling panel and could do with an update considering it’s a 4 star hotel. Cleaning was not good, it took 8 days to get the floor cleaned and 2 attempts of asking for the bedding to be changed. The room was not also child friendly, the balcony on the bottom floor has no railings meaning we could not use it as our baby would just crawl onto stones or onto the room next doors balcony. The bar area at night is not great if you have a baby. We went most nights for a drink and were never seated and were never given a menu and it was very hard to get served and some nights we just left after not being served. Everyone else was coming in and being greeted and seated by someone and getting a menu when arriving then getting served easily, I can only think that having a baby is not who they want being there and tried to ignore us to get us to leave. We were also approached about our baby wearing a swim nappy. She had one every time and it wasn’t until the 4th day in the pool to be told about this. We then told them she had one and showed it but still very aggressive about it with us.

What a gorgeous setting for drinks and food. Iris couldn’t have been more welcoming and hospitable. We only came back here for her as she was so helpful when they were setting up before opening. Great location, attentive and helpful staff all around hotel, great selection and variable food selection my only gripe was the hot buffet food was cold most nights , with no microwave on display at evening meal,, only at breakfast,, which to me needs to be addressed, The chefs show cooking was delicious, Pool are was immaculate, with stunning views
