Location

A former country palace, this hotel is located only about 100 m from the beach. The centre of Sollers where guests will discover many shopping and entertainment venues is only roughly 4 km away. Links to the public transport system can be reached within 200 m, whilst the capital of Palma de Mallorca is about 35 km away.

Facility

In the air-conditioned hotel, guests are welcomed in the lobby with -hour reception desk and a -hour check-in/check-out service. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     We stayed here for two nights in February. It's a clean, efficient, unremarkable hotel. Unfortunately, we had a disturbing incident on our first morning. We had arrived around 10pm and because I was suffering from a cold, we had a late start. As I was getting dressed around 11am, a member of staff walked into our room. There was no knock at the door, no announcement, she just walked in! I was standing in the middle of the room in my underwear. A moment earlier and I would not have been dressed.We made a complaint at reception as we left for the day. On our return a note apologising for the 'inconvenience' and bottle of sparkling wine was left for us. No apology whatsoever. I was really upset. When you are unwell and undressed, you feel very vulnerable. I wrote a formal complaint to the hotel manager that evening asking that they change the doors of the room so that it is possible to hang a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. It's not possible to do that right now and staff know this. In addition, they need to train their staff to at least knock and let guests know they are coming in. I never imagined having to explain that to a hotel. As guests, we have a legal right to privacy.If you choose to stay at this hotel, take a small wedge door stop with you. There is no inside double lock or chain, in fact there is nothing to stop someone, at any time, simply walking into your room. In terms of the rest of the service, the breakfast is OK, but get there early. On our first day, fruit and yogurt, etc, was not replenished even though there was over half an hour left. We paid for breakfast just like the people who came an hour before us, but that doesn't seem to matter to the hotel. Service is brusque - no charm, no warmth, just a job to be completed. Finally, it was very disappointing that the hotel did not even acknowledge my husband's birthday, even though they were told in advance. We don't expect much, but most hotels will save you a nice table for breakfast or leave a bowl of fruit/pastry in your room - after all they have plenty for breakfast. At least acknowledge that someone has chosen to spend this special day with you. We will never go back to this hotel. There are better options available in the area. I don't think they really care about their guests as per my last point. They do the minumum required to function.     Nice hotel, but could be more relaxing

    This is the second time we have been to the hotel. The last time we had a spa but this time we stayed. Food service was excellent and well organised. We were very disappointed with the type of smart hotel it is and not being adults only, at least for out of school holidays.The price for the night half board was fair however I don’t really expect to pay that much and have screaming kids running up the hotel hall at 8am and trying all the doors.The sign at reception also states family time 15 years + between 9-3 in the spa. However yet again there were many kids in there no older that 10 who were jumping in and out of the pool. I would not recommend coming for a spa day within these hours. The SPA family time is from 9-15h and children are welcome during that time. From 15h on the SPA is adults only (we allow teenagers from 15 years on).
