  Our stay at Iberostar Waves Club Cala Barca was simply spectacular. From day one, we felt incredibly welcome thanks to the kindness and professionalism of all the staff, who were always attentive and had a smile that made every moment even more special.One of our fondest memories is of the evening entertainment shows: fun, very well organised and full of infectious energy. We’d particularly like to mention Dani and Robert, who are lovely people.We also thoroughly enjoyed the fitness activities. Ader and Lucía do an excellent job, with dynamic classes suitable for everyone. Thanks to them, we were able to stay active whilst enjoying our holiday.The beach restaurant deserves a special mention; having breakfast there every morning was a real treat. The tranquillity, the views and the peaceful surroundings meant we started the day in the best possible way. And there we’d like to give a special thank you to Gustavo, who night after night brightened up our dinners with his warmth, friendliness and impeccable service.   Iberostar Cala Barca is without a doubt a fantastic family resort! We love it! There’s nothing to not love! We have been three years running and are already booked for next May too! Staff 5* food 5* complex 5* entertainment team 5*Huge shoutout to Dani! He makes everybody feel welcome! There’s always something going on! The place is beautiful! The fire show on a Tuesday night on the beach is my fav!The resort has its own cove beach with a beach bar and restaurant! ! Canoes available to rent and a beautiful little setting! I literally cannot fault the place!There’s 3 other restaurants too! But our fav is the large buffet restaurant, there’s just so much choice. So 4 restaurants in total. 2 shops. One more of a supermarket and the other gifts, clothes etc. In-between is the amazing ice cream parlour! Then a beautiful spa which offers lots of different treatments.2 padel courts, a gym (indoor and outdoor!) Volleyball and football pitch!A park, food trucks throughout the day. Plenty of pools (10) slash park for the little ones and a bouncing dome. Scuba diving. And much much more! BOOK IT!!!!   Our 2nd consecutive year at Iberostar Cala Barca, and once again, this place proved why it is the ultimate family paradise. If the owners of Iberostar are reading this: this resort is your crown jewel, and it’s all because of the incredible human beings you employ.​While the resort itself is stunning, what truly makes Cala Barca magical is the consistency of its staff. Seeing so many familiar faces from last year speaks volumes about the company culture. People don't just work here; they put their hearts into making families feel at home.​We want to give a massive, heartfelt shout-out to the absolute superstars who made our stay unforgettable:​☆ Pani (Guest Services): A truly wonderful human being. For the second year in a row, Pani has been our guardian angel, ensuring our stay was flawless. His professionalism, warmth, and dedication to guest satisfaction are unmatched. He is the backbone of the guest experience!☆ ​Maria Jose (Pool 11): Words cannot express our gratitude for this incredible lady.   We returned home yesterday, and wow what can I say. We absolutely loved it! We stayed iberostar last year (another part of the island) and decided to stay with the chain of hotel as it was so good. This place did not disappoint. Myself, husband and two children stayed in block 11 which is quite far from the main area but that was a slight bonus because it was peaceful at night with a beautiful pool right outside and snack shack serving burgers, chips, chicken and drinks! Although as we were so far it was a bit much walking too and from each time we needed something although buggies are available to ferry you around the resort. We managed to swim in 8 out of 10 pools, the kids area is awesome, surrounded by snack vans, activities, music, shops, an ice cream parlor, tennis courts and more!!. Although get your sun lounger early! 😫. The food was lovely, 5 places to choose from to eat, the Mexican is nice and the beach resturaunt is a great experience (booking only). Big shout out to our housekeeper Ana who left us little notes, chocolates and flowers every day😀 the beach is gorgeous, you can rent kyacks, scuba gear ect, my children had a free scuba lesson. Every single pool and the beach had at least one life guard, the kids pool (3 pools) had 5 lifeguards and they do a good job. Highly recommend the foam party and fire show, and silent disco, WOW! we headed to the market on a Wednesday (they have a bus you can book) and that was amazing and just a short drive away, we got a taxi from the rank in the hotel carpark at 16 Euro. Also Cala d'Or is amazing, we done the fish feet thingy🤣 the gentleman who owned it was so kind! Again, short drive at 10 Euro, lots of restaurants and shops, lovely stroll to the beach just down the road from the town, worth a day trip. I honestly have nothing bad to say, they offered us food on our 3am arrival, they have buggies to take you around the resort as this place is like a town! We will be going back, the staff are incredible, the entertainment each night was fun, so clean around the resort, for families this is a must! Rooms are slightly outdated but who cares for the amount of time we spent in it. My one and only downfall is, we have no kettle in the room, and no where to grab a coffee in the mornings unless we walked all the way to the main area which is a shame as sitting on the balcony with a coffee would have been lovely!   Definitely not a 4 star hotel

  The overall quality of the hotel was not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. From the room aspect, the air conditioning didn’t work no matter what setting/temperature you tried, the shower volleyed from boiling hot to freezing - so much so my 21 month old was petrified of it after the first time using it which made the lack of a bath even more challenging. Ventilation in the room is poor, most of the bathroom roof in particular had clearly been painted over to cover the mould. The hotel room/block we stayed in was a 10 minute brisk walk away from the main dining/entertainment areas down narrow pavements with street lighting poles obstructing it every 30ft, it’s very up and down across the resort with no lifts (only one we saw was in reception and was out of order). With a baby/toddler in a pushchair it’s a literal nightmare, we did eventually find a path to make things easier but it’s a good extra few minutes each way. We didn’t even stay in the furthest building away from the resort so I really did feel for the people at the top end. I will however stress that the staff were lovely, I have no complaints about them at all. Majority were Bi-Lingual and very accommodating of my little one in particular. Only complaint I would have is the hooligans driving the electric buggy’s - you’ll be having a nice walk between the blocks and next thing is you have a buggy flying at you round a blind corner.
