    Great hotel with tiny downsides.

    A nice inexpensive hotel a short walk from the beach. The rooms are tidy and comfortable and the cleaners do an amazing job. The bar is small but has a variety of drinks, and the food is great with only a couple things I didn't really like. All of the staff are happy to help out whenever needed, and I felt safe putting my hoilday experience in their hands.The pool area is a bit small but it's clean and well maintained. However there was a distinct lack of music in the communal areas. Most people were playing their own music through their phones due to this fact. However after speaking to staff they want to put a sound system in to change this; I belive that they will. The surrounding area has a variety of shops and even an nice tattoo parlor with a great view of the sea that my sister made use of.I can't think of anything majorly wrong with this hotel after staying for a week, and highly recommend it for future travellers :)9.5/10 would go again.     bus cant get to enterance so was a 5 minute walk and my wife has mobilty issues. pool is not mobilty friendly bog standard metal steps into pool no walk in pool steps poolside toilets where digusting a urinal on floor been used as bin pipework for urinals so there just no urinal lights flickerinf in cubical so could not shut door fully as you could see cubical lights in 1 of the female toilets didnt work. food was very hit and miss always burgers and hot dogs at lunch soups where poor jelly everyday for dessert at both lunch and dinner salad selection was ok apart from the bowls of cold veg main meals poor standard sometimes not cooked through only 2 very small lifts 4 people max and cracked tiles outside lift on floor 2 which i reported but nothing was done. then the room small bathroom with shower door that when you moved it the plaster came away from wall and the waterproof rail at bottom of door would fall off when you did get door open. big split in balcony curtain and the hem at bottom was held up with safety pins. only 1 entertainment staff on so sundays and tuesdays no entertainment at all. the only postive bar but even that had its faults cocktails where made in a ice machine not a cocktail shaker in sight Marc Castañeda, Marketing at Hotel Ilusion Vista Blava, responded to this review Dear Gavin B,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us.We are naturally disappointed to read that your experience did not meet your expectations.     Had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel Ilusion Vista Blava. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The drinks were very good with a nice selection available throughout the stay.     The hotel is clean and the rooms are value for money. What makes this place special is Miguel and his team of staff, all who are excellent and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable. The location is brilliant and the food is fantastic. They cater for all tastes as best as possible. I am already planning my 3rd visit here. Love this place.
