    Family break- May Half Term

    rating29 May 2026

I’m not entirely sure what other guests are seeing that I’m missing, but overall I found this hotel fairly average. Personally, I would rate it closer to a 3-star property than a 4-star. If you have children under the age of 8, it will probably suit your needs well. The resort is much larger than we anticipated, which means a lot of walking. That isn’t necessarily a problem, but it does become tedious when most of the facilities are concentrated in Block A. We chose Block C to be closer to the splash parks and football court, which should have worked well for our family. The grounds are attractive and well maintained, with staff cleaning the area each morning. However, by the end of the day the pool areas are messy, and the pool toilets were often in poor condition. The pools officially close at 6pm when the lifeguards finish their shifts, yet many guests return to the water shortly afterwards. The pools themselves are pleasant and provide a good variety of areas around the resort, although none of the pool jets appeared to be working during our stay. Some sun loungers are packed very closely together and lack shade from umbrellas. There are plenty available overall, but the most desirable spots are reserved early each morning. The splash parks are a nice addition for younger children. However, one slide was out of service for the entirety of our stay, and two of the slides are virtually identical, which limits the variety. The rooms are basic but spacious. The layout includes a bedroom at the front, another sleeping area at the back, and the bathroom in the middle. Comfort was disappointing, with only one pillow provided and an extremely firm bed. The double bed was simply two singles pushed together, which wasn't particularly comfortable. Complimentary toiletries are minimal, consisting only of a bar of soap and shower gel. It’s a large shower with powerful over head shower and no bath.Food was probably the biggest disappointment. While there is a wide selection available, the quality was lacking. Many dishes were repetitive, greasy, and bland. Food often sat uncovered for long periods, and fresh food was frequently added on top of older dishes. We visited the South restaurant one evening for Asian-inspired cuisine, but the experience was underwhelming. The pork appeared to have been pre-cooked and reheated yet remained cold in the middle, the Pad Thai contained only one piece of chicken, and the prawn crackers were stale. The plastic cups used for all-inclusive drinks were another negative. They were small, had an unpleasant smell, and felt cheap. I would strongly recommend buying your own reusable bottle or cup from a local shop.A €60 credit card hold is required for pool towels, and the same deposit system applies if you want to borrow a football to use the sports facilities. We visited the hotel beach twice. On our first visit, we were put off by litter in the sea, dirty sand, and noise from nearby construction work. Once you swim further out, however, the water becomes much clearer and is genuinely beautiful. Our second visit was much more enjoyable, with calmer seas and less rubbish washing ashore. If you enjoy snorkelling, take some bread from breakfast and feed the fish. That said, the beach itself would benefit from more thorough cleaning and maintenance. There is also a beachside shop for drinks, but it only accepts cash.Evening entertainment was disappointing. The programme typically consisted of a mini disco followed by a one-hour show, with everything finishing by around 10pm. After that, there is very little to do. As there is not much within walking distance of the resort, you'll need a taxi to places such as Porto Cristo, Cala Millor, or Cala d'Or for additional entertainment and dining options. The entertainment team deserves special mention, as they are a real asset to the hotel and do a great job making activities enjoyable. However, many activities such as water basketball and water volleyball are restricted to guests aged 13 and over. The hotel offers very little specifically aimed at younger teenagers.Overall, I found the hotel more average than impressive. It caters well for families with younger children, but the additional deposits for towels and sports equipment, weak evening entertainment, basic rooms, and uninspiring food make it difficult for me to recommend. Unfortunately, it is not somewhere I would choose to return to.

    Stressful stay

    rating29 May 2026

Terrible experience at this hotel with numerous instances of poor service. Most importantly, the allergen information in the restaurant is incorrect. Food is labelled with allergens but it wasn’t right and my daughter had a severe allergy, which could have been life threatening. She had an instant reaction eating dessert and we were awake all night with her vomiting and shaking. It was a very traumatic experience for us all.The hotel staff were not helpful or friendly at all. My son had broken his collarbone days before the holiday. I emailed the hotel to ask about accessibility, beds and getting more pillows to try to ensure he could sleep comfortably. No response was received. He had a tiny hard bed with no proper pillow and a room in the furthest away block up and down numerous stairs. As he was unable to swim or play we bought a lilo for him to go on so he could at least go in the pool but the lifeguard wouldn’t let us have the inflatable in the pool even though he clearly needed it to be able to go in and was unsympathetic. We lost our bag on the transfer to the hotel and realised immediately while checking in but reception wouldn’t help us at all with locating it or help us with the language barrier trying to contact the taxi firm to retrieve it. We asked for help numerous times but the staff were not interested. The hotel isn’t great if you have mobility difficulties as it is on a steep slope and the rooms and all corridors to the facilities involve going up and down lots of stairs. All in all we were glad to get home.
