Location

This comfortable hotel is only separated from the beautiful sandy bay of Cala Esmeralda by just a small coastal road. A selection of shops, restaurants and bars are to be found in the vicinity. The centre of Cala d'Or, where a nightclub is also to be found, is located 1 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport network lie about 300 m away.

Facility

The hotel has 151 double cabins, which are located on 5 decks and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the guest services desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows passengers to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. A parking deck is available to those who wish to travel with their own car. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that cabins maintain comfortable temperatures. Passengers can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some cabins. Cabins have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly cabins with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has non-smoking cabins.

Sport

No matter the weather, guests can take an energising swim in one of the 2 indoor and outdoor pools. There is also a special swimming area just for kids. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun deck. A variety of activities are available at the hotel, for example cycling/mountain biking, beach volleyball and horse riding or, for a fee, tennis and golf. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as water aerobics and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling and diving. Passengers can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments, anti-ageing treatments, Ayurveda treatments and a solarium. An entertainment programme and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Half board is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet, a lunch à la carte and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request.     Lovely hotel and facilities but completely lacking atmosphere. No good entertainment at night and people just leave hotel and go into town as nothing to stay for

    We picked this hotel as we have been to most of the Adult Only hotels in Cala D'Or and have always wanted to try this one. First impressions were great, so clean, smells lovely and a welcoming reception. My son and I requested a twin room at the time of booking in January and received confirmation from the hotel directly that this would be possible. On arriving this was not the case. I showed the confirmation email to the reception staff but was told it was fully booked and therefore not possible. The lovely, proactive Marian said she would sort for us to be moved the next day and that is exactly what we did. Thank you Paqui for kindly helping with this. The rooms, both sea view balcony on the top floor were lovely, perfect for our needs (good shower etc) really clean and with an amazing view.Breakfast truly was the best hotel breakfast we have had in years, so much choice and everything very fresh. The breakfast room did get rather busy but it never felt chaotic or crowded. Staff worked continuously clearing the tables and refilling everything, all so friendly. The Sa Cala beach club is over the road and opens at 10am. There was always a queue. The pool area is only for the use of hotel guests but the cafe/restaurant seated area is open to the public. There was a life guard by the pool but no one checked whether we were actually staying at the hotel, maybe our light pink pool towels gave us away! I did notice earlier from my vantage point on the balcony that a few people went round the back of the building around 9:30am and entered under the chain and placed their towels on the beds nearest to the sea (lovely view from there) and then came back into the hotel! Could be annoying if you are a serious sunbather and have queued half an hour to get in! The food and drinks there seemed reasonably priced to us, the Club Sandwich really good value and the Sangria was definitely the best we had during our stay. Staff are fast and friendly and work really closely together so the place has a calm atmosphere. Really loved all our time at Sa Cala and would definitely 100% recommend, such a special place.Really enjoyed our brief 3-night stay and thank you Marian for sorting everything out, you made everything perfect. I would definitely return next year if we could guarantee a twin room (402 has the best view) and I hope this is possible as it is a truly lovely hotel.

    Another fantastic stay at Cala Esmerelda

    This is our second visit to this hotel. We had a fantastic visit last year (2025) This year I actually booked a different hotel in Cala Egos, as I’d seen a deal online. We had been at the other hotel a couple of hours and were having a terrible experience. Because of this, we jumped in a taxi and headed to Inturotel Cala Esmerelda in the hope they’d have availability and save our little break away.The staff at reception couldn’t have been more fantastic - we arrived at 5pm with an online booking made in the tax and were in a suit by 5.30pm - with the stress of the previous hotel forgotten. The staff at reception, the breakfast restaurant and the bars are all fantastic, friendly and can’t do enough to help. The rooms are spotlessly clean as is the hotel throughout. There is such a modern, clean, fresh relaxing vibe.We have well and truly found our happy place in Cala Esmerelda / Cala D’or & at this hotel.     Good but transportation not worth it

    Hotel was nice with friendly staff. Breakfast was probably the best experience, if you come with your significant other don’t expect to do any couples experiences because they don’t have the staff or rooms for any couples type treatments. Be prepared to pay for transportation as place is far removed from the rest of the island, and airport transport will cost you as much as the room for round trip.
