    My wife and I stayed at La Residencia in late June for a week. I knew of the hotel from a good friend and he recommended it. The hotel, the staff, the setting and the surroundings ticked all the boxes and it is no wonder that it is one of the Leading Hotels of the World. We made use of the Spa for treatments when there and they were wonderful. I cannot recommend it enough. It may not be for everyone - especially if you are looking for nightlife/tourist fun, but if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, enjoy fabulous food and be waited on hand, foot and finger, this is the place. Deija itself is picturesque and full of wonderful places to dine if you fancy somewhere else in the evening. Do book up and have lunch at the 'shack' set into the cliff down on the rocky beach. That is an experience itself. Also, the hotel had just introduced an electric car, a Renault Twiz which we hired for an afternoon. Great fun to drive and we drove to both Valdemossa and to Soller in the afternoon. Also to be recommended is the meet and greet at the airport which the hotel will arrange for you.
