    Only for though guys recommended

Before choosing to stay at the "La Victoria Petit Hotel," I strongly warn anyone who isn't particularly tough. In my eyes, this so-called 3-star hotel in a former monastery above the church is nothing more than an overpriced hostel—though without hostel parents, as there is no reception, only a tedious self-check-in via machine. The room I booked through TUI here is the worst hotel room I have ever had. TUI praised it as "minimalist," but it's simply miserable. The room itself is only about 6 square meters, plus a tiny bathroom. There is no wardrobe, so I have to live out of my suitcase, which only found a place after some rearranging—though now, the door can no longer open fully. When I arrived, the floor was covered in dust, which I had to clean myself as best as I could. Silverfish scurry around in the bathroom. There is no reading lamp by the bed, just a harsh, neon-like overhead light. The window is smaller than two A4 pages and faces the parking lot, with all the associated noise. During the cold March nights, it even lets in drafts, even when closed. Despite this, I sweated in the bed because the mattress is covered with a plastic sheet under the bedsheet. As early as 6 a.m., the bistro operator on the ground floor began loudly moving tables around. Sleep was out of the question. By morning, I had two insect bites, even though I hadn't seen a mosquito. Of course, there is no mosquito net either. On top of that, when I first entered the room, it had an unpleasant, overly artificial, sweet smell. I was aware that there was no safe, no TV, and no air conditioning in the room. The mobile phone reception is poor, and the Wi-Fi becomes very slow in the evening or during bad weather. The shower has a curtain that constantly clings to the body while showering. Afterward, half the bathroom is flooded. There is no way to dry the towel used for mopping up the water. I have no idea how one is supposed to dry swimwear here. The bathroom (with a toilet) has no effective ventilation and must be aired out through the sleeping area, which is only separated by a sliding door—a challenge given the tiny window. But the worst part is yet to come: To escape the cramped room without a wardrobe or desk, there are "common areas." These are simply the furnished hallways of the building. However, access to the first floor and kitchen is prohibited from 10 p.m. to 11:30 a.m. the next day. While this makes sense due to the house’s poor sound insulation, it leaves guests without anywhere to go—especially since taking dishes to the room is also forbidden. These rules are stricter than in any youth hostel I've stayed in—yet the prices are higher, and the comfort is far lower. So, if you want to be locked up in a monastery cell for a few days with no comfort, this might be the right place for you. But I’d advise everyone else to stay away. And if you still want to book, choose the cheapest option—because you can't expect much support from TUI. Can Calco Hotels, Otros at Petit Hotel Hostatgeria La Victoria, responded to this review We're sorry that our hotel didn't meet your expectations. Being a converted former chapel, space is limited. It's a historic monument between the sea and the mountains. A privileged location unlike any conventional hotel.

La petit victoria (not a hotel a hostel)

    rating30 Aug 2024

It's nice area location wise, you need a vechile to get in and out it to port of alcudia, its basic there, its just a posh hostel,, again you need a vechile to stay here as its 20 euro each way in and out in taxi! The bed clothes wjere just sheets!!!! Can Calco Hotels, Otros at Petit Hotel Hostatgeria La Victoria, responded to this review Our establishment is a Hermitage that was used as a guesthouse and that has been adapted so that everyone can enjoy this special and particular place. It is located on a mountain where public transport does not access it, so it is recommended to access it by car.

    Smelly hot closet

    rating25 Jun 2024

I really don’t understand that there is even one single positive review about this hotel.. The location is beautiful, but that’s the only positive thing we can say about this place. We didn’t got what we paid for. Unfortunately, the description and pictures of the advertisement don’t match the actual room. According to the advertisement we booked a room of 12m2. Upon arrival we immediately saw that this was not the case. Our suitcases needed to be left in the hallway because they didn't fit in the room. The room was so small that the owner had to install an adapted bed. The bed had the strange dimensions of 185 by 130 centimeters (which is smaller than a French bed). It’s not okay to rent this room to two persons!! So unless you are a child of 4 years old, you won’t fit in the room or bed. They know they’re renting the rooms to tourists, so they should have mentioned this in the description. The room was also very poorly cleaned and doesn’t look like the pictures. There were stains next to the toilet and the shower was moldy and leaking, flooding the entire room. Our room was on the second floor, where a fan or airco is necessary because of the heat. The owner had limited the fan to setting 1, because it almost fell from the ceiling due to imbalance. There is no one present at the location so you have to figure it all out yourself. Very impersonal and not hospitable. We contacted the hotel about this, but they don’t care and cooperate. We paid a lot for this room, it’s not okay that you make money from tourists in this way. Never book this terrible place! Unless you like to sleep in a smelly hot closet.. Can Calco Hotels, Otros at Petit Hotel Hostatgeria La Victoria, responded to this review We are very sorry that our establishment did not meet your expectations. The accommodation is located in a historical monument with dimensions that are not very large, but are located in a completely privileged place. The economic room has a double bed, with the dimensions common in Spain, the rest of the rooms have two single beds pushed together.

    Nothing special

    rating02 Jan 2024

This hotel is nothing special, other than the surroundings it’s in , the castle type building makes it look lovely, but it’s like been in a prison room breakfast is the same every morning served to you very skimpy with regards to one of everything if you like more than one cup of tea then forget it , You also need a transport to get to and from as it’s at the top of a mountain up very narrow roads Can Calco Hotels, Otros at Petit Hotel Hostatgeria La Victoria, responded to this review We are sorry that our establishment does not meet your expectations. It is in a historical monument where the spaces have had to be adapted. It is a privileged place located between sea and mountains that not everyone likes.

    Be very aware before booking

    rating19 Sept 2023

We chose this hotel based upon it’s Expedia page details for a 2 day break Monday/Tuesday with our car. Upon arrival in Alcudia we followed the clear signs in town to La Victoria. What is not shown in the details is the hotel is very remote and is circa 2 miles up a dangerous narrow twisty mountain road that you would not want to do at night. The car park is large but was full of hikers/bikers vehicles and is someway below the hotel. You need to be very physically able to get from the car park to the hotel entrance, which is up more steps. There are no amenities other than a restaurant next door but to our surprise this was closed, you guessed it, on Mondays and Tuesdays! This means that to obtain any food you need to go back down the mountain road into town. We tried to talk to hotel staff but it was deserted. We left and made other accommodation plans in Port de Pollensa. Expedia tried but hotel flatly refused to refund either night (would have expected at least second night refund). You will probably need walking boots to climb down to the “6 minute beach” and heaven knows how long it will take to hike back!
