Another warm welcome from a lovely hotel.

    rating29 May 2026

We went to this hotel about the same time last year and were so impressed, we booked another week this year. It is a lovely family-owned hotel with excellent rooms, gardens and food (with so many choices), plus first rate friendly service from all staff. It's therefore not surprising that many have been with the hotel for a number of years, which is an indication of very good treatment by the owners. We again stayed half-board, due to my wife's temporary lack of mobility, and just wanted somewhere quiet to relax and enjoy the wonderful gardens. A good lunchtime menu provides plenty of choice and the waiters Tony "Macaroni" and "El Capitano" Chupi were a superb double act that kept everyone smiling throughout. Breakfast and evening meals were taken either inside or outside and (once again) we were spoilt for choice, with something for all tastes. It is so good, we are already looking at a date to return; maybe even this year.

Not in any way a 5 star! Food awful - thank goodness for the staff!

    rating28 May 2026

I have to say Amanda, Lily and Joanna are exceptional staff so thank you! Unfortunately that’s the only good thing I can say about this hotel. I visited with my husband and 20 month old baby. This is not a 5 star hotel. The aircon didn’t work in the first room so we changed rooms. The food is awful. Breakfast is just about edible but dinner is so bad. Not stayed in a hotel with worse evening food. If you want to stay in somewhere that resembles the film ‘a bugs life’ stay here. Eaten to death by bugs! We will not be returning.

Great hotel in a great location!

    rating28 May 2026

Lago Garden is a really lovely hotel, very eclectic with lots of sunbeds and outdoor space. It wasn’t too busy as it was just the start of the season. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had comfortable beds and lots of room. Everything was really clean and the staff are friendly. It’s in an ideal location, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and local bus stop. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of choice. Our only criticism is that the coffee pods are not replaced daily (there is a coffee machine/water boiler in the room). You have 2 complimentary pods on arrival but thereafter you have to buy them from reception at €1 a pop!! Also you only get a complimentary small bottle of water on day one. For the price of staying in a 5* hotel it should be free in the room. Overall we had a great week and can highly recommend the hotel!

    Lovely week away in Majoca

    rating18 Apr 2026

The Hotel, rooms and grounds are excellent. We stayed in a family suite which was huge, the beds were very comfortable, shower was great and outdoor jacuzzi was also good. There was some noise at night but nothing major, the walls were thin so if someone was moving around above you or next to you this would be amplified at times, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Children jave access to the SPA 1-3pm -10/10 spaThe food at breakfast and evening meals were top notch, plenty of choice and high quality. The pool areas were quiet, we went slightly out of season, the pool was heated, children's entertainment was a lovely man called Martin, he was very personable and made everyone feel welcome and played games daily and nothing was to much for him.The entertainment at night in the hotel was generally catered towards a German audience but this was not surprising and fair enough as the Hotel and area is probably around 80% German tourists, this is fine, but if you want British pubs etc in the area you will not find them.We found the area to be beautiful, peaceful and safe. There is a lovely but small beach 5 min walk, plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants on the front and some sports bars.Pete

beautiful and peaceful hotel - just be wary of the english language limitations

    rating09 Nov 2025

It was a very enjoyable stay. the hotel itself is gorgeous and peaceful, especially during the quieter season right before it closed for winter. the location is fantastic beautiful, just a five minute walk from the beach and the design of the hotel is very elegant.the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. we absolutely loved the food, both at the buffet and the bar, and the spa was a real highlight. It was great that they had special hours where children under 14 could use the spa , it was perfect for my younger brothers and helpful for my parents. most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.all that said, there were a few things that could be improved. Although the hotel advertises english, german and spanish speaking staff, their english was quite limited. we were often misunderstood, (i remember it took me about 10 minutes to explain that i wanted hot sauce for my food) and at times staff responded in Spanish which obviously we didn’t understand. there were no tv channels in english. i noticed that staff speak fluent german though…the hotel can get noisy at night. while some of this is beyond their control (groups chatting outside), there were also strange banging noises inside the hotel that made it a little difficult to sleep. WiFi in the rooms was inconsistent, it worked in some parts of the room but not at all in the bed area. even the areas which it did work weren’t very good. and despite claims that the pools were heated, both the outdoor adult pool and the spa pools were lukewarm, and the hot tub wasn’t hot either.overall, though, I really enjoyed our stay. the hotel’s location is stunning, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was peaceful. just keep in mind if you’re an english speaker that communication may be a bit challenging, and some amenities may not meet expectations exactly as advertised.
