    As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I enjoy staying at different properties within the Hilton portfolio. Having already stayed numerous times in the Old Town area by the train stations, I opted to try this one, which required a short Uber ride as well.As I always do, I checked in and chose my room the day before arrival. I arrived during a heavy rain storm in January (lucky it wasn't snow) and my train had been 4 hours late, so that scuttled my plans to have dinner in the area. Just as well, I enjoyed the room, which has no issues with HVAC, TV, nor WiFi. Plenty of room for my belongings. The bathroom as clean, and it had enough counter space to put down my toiletries.Breakfast in the morning was quick and good.

    okay, the bad - the wifi is dire, so bad that I ended up using my international data to get anything done. The good - I'd have given 5 stars but the wifi was awful. The staff at reception are efficient and friendly, the breakfast is great for the price point, the room was clean, and it was within easy access of touristy things. The neighbourhood around was walkable, and looked pleasant and lived-in, not anonymous McMansions. For the price, it's excellent value, and the room had a little seating area too, so it didn't just feel like a bedroom. 100% would recommend.

    I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. When I arrived, I found a spat of poo on the toilet seat, which is completely unacceptable. The internet didn’t work at all during my stay, making it impossible to get anything done. Under the sink was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bed made me itchy, and to make things worse, there was a noticeable stain on the pillow.Overall, this hotel needs a serious upgrade in cleanliness and basic maintenance.     A Clean, Comfortable Stay in a Very Busy City

    If you have to stay near DC, this hotel provides a nice, quiet respite from the overly busy downtown DC yet it is still close enough for a quick commute into the heart of DC. Elaine at the front desk is a gem. She is kind and efficient and very engaging with all the different types of customers she encounters. She was so helpful to us, and I saw her being so helpful to other customers even though she obviously works some incredibly long hours. Breakfast offerings were ok and morning coffee was definitely lacking in flavor, heat, and strength, but the beds were very comfortable and our room clean with everything in working order. Staying at this hotel, gave us a nice break from the days we had to spend in busy DC.
