    Trip type: Family

Overall great for kids and families but a few areas felt like 3* and could be improved

    rating19 Jan 2026

We stayed in May 2025 as a family of 4, having also stayed at the adjacent Protur Biomar 5* hotel the previous year. While the Biomar was lovely, we felt it was limited in daytime activities for children for those not wishing to send their children to the kids club. The Safari Park hotel seemed much better suited to familes with children which is why we went for it - and we were not disappointed with the additional activities that it offered. The highlights were the excellent mini-gold courses, which provided endless fun; the outdoor heated pool; the indoor pool for rainy days; the splash pool with pirate ship; the nature reserve with animals; the free bike hire alllwed for some lovely family bike trips; and the kids loved the koi karp fish in the ponds.A few negatives to list: the rooms provided a shower cap, tissues and shower gel, but it was odd that no soap was provided for handwashing.Overall the hotel cleanliness was excellent. Our only complaint was that there was no brush or mop available in oir room, which felt us unable to keep the place as clean as we would like - especially on days with lots of sand after a beach trip. There was a daily maid service, but they often neglected to sweep the balcony area. One other minor issue was that the handwashing sinks outside of the restaurant were not working while we were at the hotel. The food was overall very good, with our family very happy with the breakfast and dinner options. The only area for improvement would be better lunch snack options. Most of the lunch snack options were fast food style (burgers; kebabs; etc.) but it would have been nice to be able to order a sandwich or a toastie or a baked potato - as we had been able to do at the Protur Biomar. The drinks felt of poor quality for a 4* hotel. In particular, the apple juice for children was very sugary/syrupy rather than fresh juice - so we had to water it down to be able to give it to our children. The coffee was also of a poorer quality (instant?) and as coffee lovers we were disappointed not to have anywhere to get a nice coffee while on holiday - especially when the adjacwnt Protur Biomar hotel had offered such good coffee to us the previous year. It was disappointing for all outdoor drinks to be served in paper cups. A recyclable non-plastic clear cup would be much nicer. Lastly, the wine was not very nice at all, which was a disappointment. All in all, it was a good hotel and a holiday. The hotel is largely worthy of its 4* rating except in the areas for improvement I've listed above, where those areas felt more 3*. Your comments on food options, and drinks are appreciated and will be shared with the team for improvement.

Great family friendly all inclusive hotel

    rating07 Jan 2026

Spent an all inclusive week here with family. No young children so can't comment on facilities for them. We found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. The food was good and varied enough to not get bored. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Some of the entertainment was a bit lacking, and finished at around 10pm so had to go out of the complex to find some nightlife. Location is good. Just a 10 min walk to the beach. Just a note on the beach: There are comfortable sunbeds to hire at the nearest part of the beach, but the cost is ridiculously high! There may be somewhere cheaper further down the beach. Protur Hotels, Owner at Protur Safari Park Aparthotel, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback following your stay with us. We are delighted to hear that you found our hotel clean, well-maintained, and that you enjoyed the comfort of your room as well as the variety of our food.We appreciate your comments regarding the entertainment and the beach facilities. Your observations are very valuable and will help us continue improving the guest experience. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location, just a short walk from the beach. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family back for another enjoyable stay in the future.

    Family friendly hotel

    rating01 Nov 2025

We enjoyed our time in this hotel as a family of 4. This was our first holiday with our 5 month old and our apartment was perfect for our requirements. Kitchen is small but adequate with a microwave/ fridge etc. the size of the room was perfect too. We were based on the ground floor which was an issue regarding cockroaches. On waking during the night to feed my son I was greeted by one maybe 4 nights out of the 7. There was also a musty/damp smell in our room which may have been because our room was looking out onto the mini golf/garden which also attracted mosquitoes. We couldn’t put anything on the chairs in the balcony as the sprinklers during the night soaked everything. Room cleaning was fine, cleaners were very friendly but floors weren’t cleaned adequately. The hotel itself was very clean there were always cleaners around the hotel. We did notice a day or 2 before going home rubbish around the pool at the end of the day but that is not the hotels fault it is the people who can’t be bothered to put their rubbish in the bin. Food was ok, the buffet for breakfast was fine, orange juice was terrible. The buffet for dinner was ok, what you would expect for an all inclusive. The different themes were a nice way to mix it up. We sat outside when we got a seat for breakfast and dinner, I couldn’t sit inside as there was this hospital canteen smell in the restaurant. My little boy didn’t use the kids club but the kids disco wasn’t great, parents standing up with their kids blocking everyone’s view and children are reluctant to go up with the crowds. Also all the songs were in Dutch and German. The pools are fantastic and the kids pool was a real hit. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. We also ate in the Italian restaurant, it was very nice and the food was good. Location of the hotel is good with a short 10/15 min walk to the beach. There is a carrefour next to the hotel out the back entrance. Not much in the way of restaurants in Sa Coma I expect this is because a lot of the hotels are all inclusive. All in all we enjoyed our holiday despite a few small issues. Protur Hotels, Owner at Protur Safari Park Aparthotel, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re pleased you enjoyed the pools and friendly atmosphere. We’ll make sure to pass on your feedback to our team for improvement. We hope to welcome you back in the future!

Need to hire better restaurant staff

    rating28 Oct 2025

We went in a group of 14 with a mix of adults and kids. The overall hotel was OK however nothing that really had a WOW factor. The main concern was the attitudes of the restaurant staff. I have never been to a hotel whereby saying "hello" or "your welcome" becomes a chore. The firsts incident occurred at breakfast half way through our weeks stay where a birthday breakfast had been arranged. On arrival there was a table of 8 and a table of 4 decorated with some balloons and banners, however 14 in our party. We pushed together another table so all children could sit together. After doing so, one of the waiting team rushed over and and started to shout "no no no" before going onto to be very blunt in spanish, with no explanation as to why we couldn't move the table to accommodate. I admit that my spanish is not the greatest but enough to hold a conversation and ask why we couldnt with the response being "its the rules." I proceeded to ask why again to which i was met with the same response. At this point the waitress grabbed the table and attempted to pull it away with some force, nearly hitting one of the children. At this point I stood in front and told her to wait as she had nearly hit the child with the table. As I turned my back she proceeded to continuously tap me on my shoulder before I told her to go away. It was onky after speaking with the restaurant manger that it was agreed we could keep the table as it was as an exception. It was explained that the tables couldn't be moved due to there being 2000 guests in the hotel (at 45% capacity at the time of our stay). I understand this reasoning and would have understood if I wasnt spoken to im such a manner. This however was nothing compared to the second incident which took place on the day of our departure. At around 0615 we went to grab something to eat before leaving. Upon entering the restaurant, the place was filthy, with dirty plates and glasses left out, meats uncovered, sauces all over the side and a trail of ants around the drinks machine. Upon highlighting this to the the night porter "Raoul" he simply said "you dont have ants in England" before walking away laughing. At this point one of party told him that we knew his name and we would report this to the manager. At this point he became very aggressive and demanded our room numbers whilst shouting into our faces, slapping his chest and pointing close to our faces. It was only when someone slapped his hand down, that another member of staff came over and pretty much dragged him away whilst apologising to us. Raouls final comment before disappearing was "Just go back to England." As a group we genuinely believe that if wasn't for the fact there were 3 males in the party, he would have become physical. Protur Hotels, Owner at Protur Safari Park Aparthotel, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for the issues you had during your recent stay and would like to offer you our most sincere apologies. Normally we are complimented on the friendliness and professionalism of our staff.
