    Pass...

    rating08 Jul 2025

This hotel needs a renovation. ALL the carpets are filthy and smelly. Walls need to be painted and/or re-wallpapered. Upon check in, the clerk at the front desk was sarcastic and condescending. There is plenty of parking in the hotel's parking lot, but there's an additional nightly fee for parking.

Disgusting Smell & Unhelpful Staff – Do Not Stay Here!

    rating29 Jun 2025

I stayed at this hotel recently and was extremely disappointed. The entire floor I was on reeked of pet urine, and there were visible stains on the carpets. The smell was overwhelming and made the stay extremely uncomfortable.I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue, but the receptionist was completely unhelpful and dismissive. I wasn’t offered a different room, a cleaning service, or even a refund. I felt ignored and frustrated, especially given the unsanitary conditions. There’s no excuse for a hotel to allow guests to stay in such an environment. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I do not recommend staying here—spend your money elsewhere for a cleaner, more professional experience.

Buyer beware: They tack on a Parking Fee

    rating21 Jun 2025

Hotel accommodations were clean and unremarkable. Marcie in the dining area went out of her way to be kind and helpful at breakfast. She’s a true gem! I wouldn’t stay here again however because unbeknownst to me when I booked my room, they charge a $6 parking fee. This hotel has a huge parking lot and is not in any kind of downtown urban area where one would expect to pay for parking. That’s unacceptable to me.

    Mediocre

    rating22 Feb 2025

I came here with my son for the Michigan State - Illinois basketball game. The hotel is pretty old and run down. I would venture to guess that it hasn't been updated in a good 10 years. The woman at the front desk was decidedly unhappy. In the morning as we were eating breakfast I asked the woman why everyone was paying a parking fee and she said it was $6 per day to park there (shocking as there is literally a massive parking lot that is 1/4th full. She then asked me what room I was in, and if i drove here. I said yes, and she then proceeded to add the fee to my room! It's only $6, but seriously? Great customer service...

Does NOT deliver “danger tag this one”

    rating21 Feb 2025

To start with a room rate is absurd, even for an event venue. The room rates went from a normal of $105 a night to up to $580 a night. I can understand doubling the rate, but 500% more really!Others issues involve parking. It shares a parking lot with an adjacent hotel, which is probably better, and a Walgreens. They wanted to charge me six dollars for parking, which is absurd because I can park at the other hotel for free and walk over here. Additionally, they charge $17 for their continental breakfast. Excuse me, “breakfast buffet”, the same breakfast other hotels give you for free. The Garden Inn in Chicago charges $10 for breakfast and no parking charges. The Hilton in Hawaii charges nothing for parking, who do they think they are in Champaign Illinois!? if you haven’t been here, this is not the vacation Mecca! The rooms have Formicah counter tops, square press-wood headboards, and 80s furniture; it’s highly dated, has faint tinge of cigarette smoke in the air from the 70s and mediocre service. They charge for things like an airline: per-bag, per-parking spot, per-meal, per-sneeze. Way overpriced, does not deliver. Stay at the Comfort Inn you’ll get better service and free donuts!
