    The most peaceful stay.

    rating18 Aug 2023

We stayed here for 6 nights + it was wonderful. It’s just so peaceful + relaxing being here, we had the best time. There’s 3 pools to choose from, that are never overcrowded, often you have one to yourself. The location is stunning, places in the middle of a vineyard, the grounds are kept beautifully clean, theres farm animals to go and see too. The staff are very friendly + multilingual. The rooms are great + cleaned daily. We didn’t try the evening food as we chose to eat out but the breakfast was lovely, as well as the wine we enjoyed in the evening. We did have a car and we’re able to explore the surrounding areas which are stunning, naturally beautiful and not magaluf-esque. Cala pri and s’arenal de sa rapita are a must for stunning beaches! We would definitely come again! Thank you, Sa Bassa Plana!

    Relaxing Trip

    rating24 Oct 2021

My husband and I have just returned from a short 3-night trip to this hotel and look forward to returning again soon. The hotel is very rural so you definitely need a car to be able to get out and about. It is also very quiet, so if you're looking for a lively resort with entertainment then this isn't the place for you. This is exactly the reason we liked the place so much - lots of peace and quiet to really relax! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. It seemed to be catered more for Spanish and German guests, which is normal in many parts of Mallorca but we had no problems communicating with staff. Rooms very very clean and comfortable. We had access to everything we needed. We didn't use the pools, but there were three well maintained pools. One of the pools was undercover. Plenty of sunbeds were available around the pool.Breakfast was fine and plenty of it. There were some cooked items each day and a selection of breads, cheeses, meats, pastries etc. We didn't eat at the hotel for our evening meal. There is only one dinner option each day, which is displayed on a board in the breakfast room. Unfortunately the options weren't to our taste, so we decided to eat elsewhere before coming back to the hotel in the evening. I would say this is the one limitation to the hotel; there are not any other bars / restaurants nearby so you have to travel or eat before coming back for the day. This wasn't an issue for us, but could see it being inconvenient for others so definitely something to be aware of if you are considering this hotel. You can walk through the vineyards to the Bodegas Vi Rei winery, which is less than a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed doing this and picking up a bottle of wine to enjoy on our balcony. Hotel guests get 10% off in the shop. The winery offer tours and tasting, which is definitely worth trying. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will look to stay here again. My tip to others would be to check out the location before booking - if you are looking for somewhere quiet and out of the way then this hotel would be perfect for you.

    Backroads of Majorca Tour

    rating23 Oct 2019

We went on the above tour with Tui at the beginning of September. When we booked we were advised that our hotel would be allocated on arrival, but they guaranteed at least 3* accommodation. Even though I tried to find out the hotel we were supposed to be staying in several times from Tui's office in England, they were unable to tell me.On arrival at Palma Airport a taxi took us to the Sa Bassa Plana (the taxi driver did not seem to know where he was going as he missed the hotel and had to back track to find the entrance. We can only praise this tour (apparently we were the first group to take the tour) our guide was fantastic (Sara), and we were taken to some lovely places on Majorca.Unfortunately the same cannot be said about this hotel, which caters mostly for Germans who seemed to have rented cars, as this was a gated hotel with a drive of at least 2 miles, the breakfasts were pretty much the same every day, only difference was one day we got fried eggs the next scrambled, bacon or sausage, these were adequate. However when it came to dinner time, there was no choice at all. My husband cannot eat potatoes and on the first evening we were given 5 meatballs with a mass of boiled potatoes in the middle, it came to a head one day when looking at the notice for dinner, which was in German, my husband looked up on his ipad and found it to be rabbit stew with onion (yuck). Luckily we were out every day on the tour, so we had really good lunches, which kept us going until breakfast time. Most days we could barely eat the food as it was not what we had expected. My husband and I have been going abroad since 1977 so are experienced travellers, and part of the holiday is nice food, which unfortunately this was not.I wrote to Tui on the 21st September, (and as at todays date the 24th October have not received any reply from them) advising them that if they were going to push this tour for English people they should really find a better hotel, with more choice of evening meals. We realised that this hotel did not have any star rating as we were not asked to pay the tourist tax.Tui should think again about where they are putting travellers on such tours, as all the people on our particular tour were aged from 74 to 65 and experienced travellers..

    Switch off from the world

    rating23 Aug 2019

Our long weekend here lived up to our expectations 100 percent. We wanted to totally disconnect and here we found the perfect place to do so. 40 mins from the city this rural hotel has a good breakfast, 3 swimming pools, all day bar and friendly staff. We stayed half board and the evening meal was home cooked and delicious. It’s set in a vineyard and there’s wildlife all around. The best part for us was the silence, peace and quiet. Bring a good book or two and a deck of playing cards. Wish we could come every weekend.
