Location

This hotel is situated in an attractive position, on a hillside overlooking the sea. Only paces from the hotel is the nearest bay where guests can sunbathe and swim. This attractive beach hotel can be found in the tourist centre of Santa Ponsa, a short walk from the town centre and 20 km from Palma. The hotel is well situated for the public transport network.

Facility

The hotel has suites, 33 apartments, 26 single rooms and 127 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by 4 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive.     Second visit after coming for a week last October.This is a special place, the views are etched in my mind.The staff really make this hotel, from reception to bar to restaurant - overall they are so friendly and welcoming.I requested a quiter room than last year and that’s what we got. There was no sun on the balcony but it was a huge, comfortable balcony that we sat on in the evenings so lack of sun wasn’t an issue.The rooms were well cleaned every day.The evening food was great overall - some days excellent, some the meat was chewy but mostly good and a great selection Just disappointed that the healthy corner was only open for one of our 4 breakfasts because we left before 8 on the last day and it’s shut on the weekend. This area does fresh healthy juices and gluten free banana pancakes etc.The blue bar is stunning! Worth going for a cocktail in the evening. Entertainment was mixed, Freddie mercury was fabulous this time. I think outdoor entertainment in the evening would be better in the summer though. However there’s music in the blue bar. I would come here for a solo holiday in the future, I love this place.I don’t think the actual resort of Santa Ponsa has much going for it but we came to stay in the hotel.Thank you to all the wonderful staff,

    Such a lovely location, lovely hotel with great staff. would definitely return.Small town about 5 mins walk (out of the hotel to the right) if you want to eat out, not a lot there but enough. The one thing the hotel needs to change is the Balinese day beds. They put a chain across so people can't sit on them without paying 39 euros BUT nobody pays so they stay empty. 1 couple sat on them in the entire week we were there. Not only are they empty they actually block the beautiful view. Little bit annoying and I'm sure more annoying when the hotel is busier and sunbeds are full. Appreciate making money from guests but its not a low cost hotel.     So much more than just stunning views

    Don't be fooled into thinking this hotel is just about the views, it's much more than that. Don't get me wrong the views are breathtaking, day and night, and the sunset from our room, 214, was spectacular. However from the moment we arrived at 1am, we experienced brilliant customer service. The staff, every single one of them, were friendly, helpful and courteous. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas, the restaurant served very good food, constantly being replenished and enough choice for most people. The things you might like to know are:Pool towels are provided (I have been charged a deposit at more than one hotel before)The room safe is freeThere is a fridge in the room, with a courtesy bottle of waterThe shower had really good pressure and good temperature rangeThe Spa is free all week - Treatments are paid for ( At some hotels I have been charged to use the sauna etc, or limited to one vist. Not here)The ladder to the sea from the hotel is a great feature, my wife went snorkeling from it several times and said it was brilliant. It is deep, do not expect to be able to stand up. There is also a diving board at the same spot, great fun. Just be careful getting out as the ladder isnt quite long enough, could do with another rung or two.The are 2 bus routes from this part of Santa Ponsa. One to the capital Palma, cost 4.50pp each way. And one to D,Andtrax, a very nice harbour with a few shops, restaurants and of course multiple yachts. Worth a visit and again 4.50pp. There isnt a beach at the hotel, it is a 15 min walk to Santa Ponsa beach which is really nice, proper sand and shallow with easy access.All in all one of the best hotels we have stayed in, and we have been in quite a few at 60 years old!
