Location

Lying across the promenade from the pleasant, long sandy beach, this apartment hotel is located in the tourist resort of C'an Picafort. Countless shopping venues, bars and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity and there is a bus stop 100 m away with links to Alcudia and Cala Ratjada that lies 15 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 44 rooms and 22 apartments located in two 2-storey buildings with lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, a transfer service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A fax machine is on hand for guests' business and communication needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms include a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. A kitchenette with a refrigerator is also provided. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, satellite television and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower. The apartment hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex is ideal for exercise and relaxation. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes cycling/mountain biking and horse riding. For a fee, guests can also enjoy tennis and crazy golf. A wide range of sports are available, including water sports such as windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and diving or, for a fee, paddle boating.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. Half board can be booked. Breakfast and a comprehensive dinner buffet are served every day.

    A lovely hotel, close to all transport for getting around. The room I was in had a shower within a bath and, as I am disabled, I couldn't get access to showering. However, when I spoke to the receptionist the second day and. very kindly and efficiently, changed my room to a much larger room with a front view with 1 large and 1 small balconies! Wonderful service!

    Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights - holiday was booked through TUI. The staff were very friendly but the hotel was very tired looking. The location of the hotel meant that it was difficult to drive up to, even having used a sat nav. Our room was very dark, with only a frosted glass window and a shutter on the outside. The shower was broken (water gushed out everywhere apart from the actual shower head) and the condition of the bedding was very worn, with a torn mattress cover. There was only one electric socket in the room. The breakfast was extremely basic and there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. The main reception area had a few settees and the whole of the decor looked as though it dated back over 60 years. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and am surprised that TUI are using a hotel of such a poor standard. In fact, the whole place reminded me of Fawlty Towers….

    Stayed 2 nights on a group tour. The room was fine - no issues with cleanliness as others seem to have found. An old, rather quirky building.Staff are very friendly and try to be helpful, but seemed rather understaffed.Dinners were very average - tinned fruit cocktail for one dessert, and they ran out of white wine on the first night, though the buffet breakfasts were very good.

    Not a four-star hotel and not worth the money they are asking. The room was clean and the lobby was nice but there are better options. We got the room as part of a package deal, a mistake since we normally make the bookings ourselves. The beds and pillows were hard and sub-standard for the four-star rating they claim. There is a certain jaded charm about the place but lugging my bags up and down stairs because there was no elevator access to my room wasn’t one of them. The window had a view of an inner courtyard and a brick wall. They should have ripped out the tub and put in a shower but the bathroom was nice. In terms of amenities, there was no fridge or coffee service, and no iron but there was a hair dryer in the bathroom. I have travelled all over and have stayed in some pretty rough places. I don’t mind if I get what I pay for. In this case, there are better options. Two stars since the place was clean. My recommendation is to spend your money somewhere else.

    Stayed 2 nights on our Leger tour. Nice room with a small balcony that overlooked the main street. There was some noise from the trams but the french doors remarkably shut most of it out. Safe available for hire at 2 euros a night although it is key operated which I personally find annoying as you need to carry the key with you and presumably lose your deposit if it goes missing. In this day and age they should be digitally operated. Plenty of sockets in the room which is always useful.Authentic reception and bar area. The bar was usually manned by a young guy who was very efficient but spoke no English but was still friendly & polite. Unfortunately the bar was shut at 11pm on our last night presumably because no one was using it.However there are a couple of nice bars across the street if this should happen.The big let down is the food quality. Part of our package included dinner which was a fixed menu. We were offered fish on both nights which was served cold and tasteless, cold vegetable soup which was runny and an apple for desert on our last night. Most people had got up and left before that course though.
