  Bedbugs and appalling treatment by managers... disgusted and still itchy :(

  Cons: Bedbugs. Stayed 7 nights. Got bitten on my arm the first night, trunk the second night, neck, legs, and feet the third and fourth night. Bites showed up also on the last day? I waited 4 nights to make sure because it's a nice looking place and the managers seemed nice at first, but I was getting new, very itchy bites every morning when I woke up before going out for the day and had 3 more nights to go! I did not have windows or doors open at night since I use AC so could not have been mosquitos.Complained to the managers, Xisco and Laura, who said it must be mosquitos and claimed that their mattresses were new and with mattress protectors. The mattresses were neither new nor covered. They replaced the mattresses with actual new mattresses (in plastic packaging) and bedding the day of the complaint.On the 6th night, I did actually get bitten by mosquitoes outside at a restaurant during dinner. I could see the mosquitoes and could tell that my body reacted completely differently to the mosquito bites since they went away after a few hours, while I still have the bedbug bites from the first night 7 nights later.At check out today, I asked for a discount to my stay due to the poor experience. I have stayed in many hotels and airbnbs around the world and have never had or made any complaints or experienced this before. I did not ask for a full refund because I know it's been a tough year for hospitality businesses, but I think it's only fair to provide some act of goodwill since no hotel guest should go through something like this. I also did not want to write a negative review since I understand the impact this can have on businesses and they seemed like nice people.Unfortunately, they denied my claims and then accused me of being the kind of guest that would go complaining without reason to save money! They further insulted me by saying I was complaining because I didn't have any money, and then both started YELLING at me in front of other guests. Laura slapped her hands at me and Xisco pointed at the door and told me that was the way out. This is not how any guest should be treated. I am appalled and will be making a formal complaint to booking.com where I made the reservation. If this ever happens to you in Spain, you must demand a "hoja de reclamaciones" on site so that you can file a complaint with the local authorities.Pros: Good location, my room was renovated with kitchen, and provided good recommendations for the area

  Amazing Stay in Canyamel

  We stayed in Mallorca for 5 days, wish we had stayed longer because it was a very succeful trip. The hotel is just perfect; the apartment is clean, new, fully equipped, with a large balcony looking on a swimming pool, which is being cleaned every day. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen. It is just 5 minutes away from the beach. We chose Canyamel because we wanted to escape the crowded city of Palma. The SHUTTLE system was so convinient and it helped us come from the airport and back. We also visited the beautiful Cala Ratjada by the bus 72 which is 5 minutes from the hotel (just beyond the river).There is a mini market near in case you need to by coffee to make in the hotel or potable water. The hair dryer was given on demand.

  A gem in Canyamel

  Canyamel is super. Quiet and beautiful town in the Northeast of Mallorca. The apartments are in a good location, 2 streets walking distance to the splendid beach. Supermarkets and restaurants all around on walking distance. The studios are very clean and well equipped.

  We stayed there for only one night so we didn't use the kitchen facilities, but we enjoyed the terrace (we were on the ground floor). When we arrived, there was a cat in our terrace and as cat lovers, we found it very cool :)The room was clean and the beds were not bad. Also there's a nice tv.Canyamel is a very touristic area, but the beach is really beautiful.

  We stayed a week in this family hotel. The owners were so cool and gave us many good advices and addresses. The housekeeper was professional and help us to have a nice stay. Not expensive at all! I invite you all to book this hotel if you want to escape the waves of people in Palma
