    Awful service

    rating28 May 2026

our first night we woke up at 3am to someone outside our room breaking a fire extinguisher container (glass) along with lots of drunken talking which was incredibly loud from the room. Breakfast was average lots of variety however temperature was not hot. Life guard at the pool would leave every 30/40 minutes and disappear for like 10 minutes. The upstairs pool and bar was advertised as open until 10pm however shut at like 6/7 pm. The cleaners are incredibly rude and barely give the room a clean. Our bed sheets weren’t changed at all over our 7 day stay here and neither was the toilet, shower or sink. At best our bins were emptied and the mirror was wiped down however we had two days without this service. On our last day we were running 10 minutes late to check out and the cleaner came in took her phone out and shook her head at us and raised her arms as if to say why are you still in here. Music around the pool is the same 15/20 song on repeat and drinks in the hotel are very over priced. Cannot fault the location though you are right near the beach and the noise from the party goers is not too bad at night.

Not what it was and changes not for the best

    rating20 May 2026

We have stayed here four times in the last two years and unfortunately each visit has felt like a step backwards. The hotel seems to be trying to change its clientele and overall atmosphere, which is absolutely their choice, but this really needs to be reflected in how it is marketed by travel agents, as it is still being sold as a lively adults-only “vibe” hotel.Compared with our first stay in May 2024, several things have noticeably declined. The stairs at the upper pool were removed and never replaced, which is not ideal, particularly if the hotel is now aiming for an older or more relaxed clientele. The upper pool bar is also never open now. In 2024 it was operating normally, last year it appeared to be closed for refurbishment, and this year it seems completely out of use.The décor has changed significantly too. The Rolling Stone magazine backdrop and younger, music-focused atmosphere have gone, yet a tattoo studio has been added, which makes the hotel’s identity feel confused. There is now very little music around the pool area and, when there was music playing, it was mostly Motown. During our first stay there was a DJ and a much livelier atmosphere overall. You then have groups playing their own music and it just gets annoying having four different soundtracks at once. The experienced daytime bar staff also no longer seem to be there and, combined with the lack of music, reduced staffing and the removal of poolside food/snack options, it genuinely feels as though the hotel no longer wants guests spending time onsite during the day.On sunny days there were also noticeably fewer loungers available than in previous years, to the point people were lying on the ground or anywhere they could find space. The cushions from the downstairs rear tanning area have also been removed, reducing the available sunbathing areas further. Oddly, on our final day, additional loungers suddenly appeared.Despite the pool area being extremely busy, the atmosphere felt flat because there was so little entertainment or service around it.The hotel also no longer offers half board, which again feels like another reduction in facilities compared with previous stays. One thing that especially stood out was security asking guests to turn off music on a Friday night while people were sheltering from the rain and trying to make the best of the evening. This is still marketed as a younger, social hotel close to Magaluf nightlife — not a family resort — so some level of noise and atmosphere is naturally expected. Even at nearly 50, I found the whole situation a bit odd.It is still in a great location, but the hotel now feels uncertain about what type of experience it actually wants to offer. Hotel Manager, Owner at Sol House Mallorca, responded to this review Dear Caledonia Rach, We would like to thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Sol House Mallorca. We’re glad our location near Calviá Beach and Magaluf’s vibrant energy still resonates with you. We’ve evolved some spaces, like the upper pool area, to balance relaxation with social moments, though we regret this impacted your sunbathing experience. The shift in daytime music and dining options aims to create varied rhythm throughout the day, but we’ll revisit how this translates to our poolside vibe.Your note about Friday night’s atmosphere is valued, as we strive to harmonize social energy with comfort for all Tribes under the Sol.The entire team hopes that we will be able to welcome you again. Best regards,Emilia M., Sol House Mallorca Team

    Value for money

    rating19 May 2026

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay. Overall, it was a nice hotel and perfect for a few days of sunshine. We’re very much not big drinkers/party sisters but for the price we paid, we were prepared to give Magaluf a go.Check in was simple, our room wasn’t ready but we were able to store our luggage in a secure room. Annoyingly it seems that’s there’s no opportunity to get access to your rooms before 3pm, even 10 minutes early! The room was clean, with towels changed and the beds made everyday. Frustratingly the teabags weren’t restocked at all, meaning we had to take several from the breakfast buffet, nor were were the cups replaced daily. The beds were not the most comfortable, you could very much feel the springs. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and tasty. The bacon however was nothing like I’ve ever seen or tasted - vile is about the only word I can find for it and it seemed most guests felt the same, or certainly the Brits. The pool area was clean and there was enough loungers for everyone, although I think this could be a different story in peak times. There was music by the pool but it was enjoyable and a decent volume. Annoyingly, the hotel don’t seem to do anything about sun bed reservation - we really wanted to use the Bali beds for a few hours but saw towels on them when we came to the pool at 9.30 - the same towels were still there at 2pm but no one had come to use the beds. There was also a lot of rowdy behaviour and stupidity by the pool at times, again, ignored by staff.Whilst I appreciate that Magaluf is a party resort, I don’t understand the need for folks to make so much noise both on their way out and on their return. Every morning we were woken between 3-5 to hoards of drunks coming back to the hotel and making as much noise as humanly possible.Location wise it was perfect. 2 minutes to the beach and several convenience stores nearby. A taxi from the airport is between €38-€48 and is definitely the better option, uber is €50+Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back at this time of year before it’s too busy, but next time we’ll be armed with sleeping tablets. Hotel Manager, Owner at Sol House Mallorca, responded to this review Dear Laura, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Sol House Mallorca. We’re thrilled you found our check-in smooth and appreciated the secure luggage storage while waiting for your room. It’s wonderful our daily housekeeping kept your space fresh, and that the breakfast spread delighted with its variety. The pool’s vibrant yet relaxed vibe and our prime location clearly added sunshine to your days.We regret any inconvenience with room readiness timing, as early check-in depends on availability. Your feedback on tea restocking and cups has been noted for refinement. While our beds prioritize modern design, we’re exploring cozier options. The bacon’s creative twist missed the mark, and we’ll revisit this with our culinary team.Sunbed reservations remain a focus, and we’re refining our approach for fairness. We’re also reinforcing quiet-hour protocols to balance energy with rest. Your praise for being steps from the beach and local gems means the world to our Tribe. We look forward to welcoming you back on another occasion in the future.Kind regards,Lara D.SOL House Mallorca Team

    Comfy clean rooms Great location

    rating08 May 2026

Only went for a 3 night mini break booked through on the beach. Firstly let's talk about the positives Great location 2 minutes to beach front 5 minutes from strip ( if that's your thing) rooms nice and clean little tired but it is a big hotel. Reception staff very nice helpfull and great English. Lady on bar was lovely and her cappuccino perfectly made. Breakfast was good nice and fresh can't complain. Now the negatives when I first got there and got my room all was well( my room wasn't ready so I took the room offered instead wasn't to bothered it didnt have a balcony) everything was good went out to explore came bk still no issues thought id have a fairly early night as had been up for ages due to 6am flight. Hotel was lively to say the least but was in magaluf so expected nothing less. What I wasn't expecting was person in room next door trying to get into my room by the connecting door at stupid o'clock or for them to find it really funny to bang on said door and then on my room window as it was over their balcony. Needless to say I was not impressed at all went down to Reception and asked if I could be moved into a different room as I travel alone and this was a slightly unnerving to say the least. I can not praise the Reception staff enough even though had to stay in my room until the morning they moved me without hesitation into a lovely room with balcony in a quieter part of hotel. So if your looking for a nice adults only quiet holiday maybe sol house not for you. But if your party all the time kinda person and dont mind other guests being very loud getting ready for a night out and coming back very loudly at 4/6 am then its the place for you! Hotel Manager, Owner at Sol House Mallorca, responded to this review Dear Tracey,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay at Sol House Mallorca. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed our convenient location close to the beach, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms, the breakfast experience, and the friendly service provided by our team. It is especially rewarding to read your kind comments about our reception staff and the bar team, who will be delighted to know they helped make your stay more enjoyable. At the same time, we are truly sorry about the disturbance you experienced during your first night. We fully understand how uncomfortable and unsettling this situation must have felt. Although our hotel offers a lively atmosphere in keeping with the destination, we regret that the behaviour of the neighbouring guests affected your rest and comfort in this way.We are, however, very pleased that our reception team was able to assist you promptly and arrange a room change for a quieter accommodation that better suited your needs. Our team strives to provide helpful assistance at all times, and your recognition of their efforts is greatly appreciated. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.Best wishes,Marina N., Voice of Customer Coordinator
