Location

The complex is located in a small and quiet neighbourhood called Cala Romantica and is just 5 km from the well-known port of Porto Cristo. It is also close to some cosy coves including Cala Mandia and Cala Anguilla. Restaurants and bars are located just 800 metres away, and there are links to the public transport network in the immediate vicinity of the complex. Guests will find shops 2 km away in Cala Mandia. Son Sant Joan Airport in Palma is 60 km from the complex.

Facility

The apartment hotel has a lifts and features 14 apartments and 18 studios. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Rooms

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. There is a poolside snack bar as well. A variety of activities are available at the hotel, for example beach volleyball and volleyball or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking and tennis. With snorkelling or, for a fee, water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. Indoor facilities and activities also include a gym and table tennis or, for a fee, billiards. A wellness area with a spa is available to guests. For a fee, massage treatments are also offered. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Half board is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast, a lunch à la carte and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Clean, peaceful and pleasant apartments

    My son and I had a very enjoyable stay here. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom had a bath as well as a shower which is a bonus. Note: the restaurant closes at the end of October. The pool is a good size and there is plenty of space to sunbathe. The local tourist train stops directly outside the apartments and goes to the nearest beaches then onto Porto Christo which is well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

    We came for a short stay at Apartamemtos Sol Romantica tobget away from the hustle and bustle and I have to say that it did not dissapoint.We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool.This is a small hotel set in a quiet location, a short walk from the beach. There is good transport to Porto Cristo with a bus stop and the tourist mini road train both stopping directly outside.We had a lovely friendly welcome from the lady in reception who provided us with all of the information we needed before showing us to our room. It felt like a very personal service which is unusual in our experience.The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and the pool is a good size for the number of apartments with plenty of space to relax. There were always sinbeds available and lits of space between them.The room was spotlessly clean and fairly big. It had a small kitchen (2 ring hob, microwave and fridge), a dining table with 4 chairs, a sofa (sofa bed), 2 comfortable chairs and a small flatscreen tv. The beds were ok, nothing special but comfortable enough although the rubber mattress protectors are horrible. There is good aircon in both the lounge and the bedroom.The bathroom is ok although the shower in the bath is a bit treacherous due to the rounded bottom of the bath.The apartments are well looked after but they are very dated and the furniture is old but it is functional and was good enough for us. The restaurant is excellent and the service is very good. The waiter is very friendly and polite.Unfortunately the restaurant is open to the public and diners also have access to the swiming pool and sun loungers. This meant that when the restaurant opened for lunch a few local families turned up with small children and the serenity was no more. They were there for the children to be able to use the pool and play and this is what they did, quite noisily. This is a good time to leave the hotel grounds and go to the beach.Overall we had a lovely stay and will definitely return when we come to this side of the island.

    Everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing break

    Attractive accommodation with all-round views of the sea and hillside. The food is always of an excellent standard and the English-speaking staff are very obliging and helpful. Really enjoyed their delicious freshly prepared Friday night barbecue with local musician performing. There is everything you need for a relaxing holiday on-site with the excellent restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts and facilities for children.     Beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. Staff are great helpful in every way. Booked in studio, yes there dated but very clean and functional, can’t fault the place at all. It’s about a 10 min walk to beach, a bit longer walking back as it’s uphill.     Lovely laid back complex

    Stayed at Sol Romantica for a week in a two bed apartment. The whole complex is spotless and well cared for, Staff are friendly and helpful. Our apartment was basic but very adequate and comfortable, we had a sea view, and beds and pillows were very comfortable. Restaurant served food throughout the day, same menu all day. We ate here a few times and it was lovely. Walk to beach is downhill and pleasant, walk back up is very strenuous but there is a hop on bus which stops outside apartments, it goes to other beaches and into Porto Cristo and costs €5..We got a taxi in and out to Porto Cristo a few days which cost €10..worth a trip, lovely restaurants on Marina.. solromantica, Director Comercial at Apartamentos Sol Romantica by DOT Suites, responded to this review Dear customer.
