  Magical week in Camp de Mar, would recommend

  We have had the most wonderful week at the Steinberger Camp de Mar and what made it wonderful first and foremost were the staff who did everything possible to make sure our holiday was truly magical. Thank you to Benjamin for all your management and Alex for guest services. Thanks to all the restaurant and bar staff for making us feel like VIPs and Juan David for helping with my things. I also recommend Simone for treatments in the spa. Besides the staff, the highlights of the hotel for me were the location including seaside views and easy access to everything in Camp de Mar, the amazing breakfast and the spa facilities.The beds were a little hard for me, this is personal taste, but they accommodated me by putting on a mattress topper which I hugely appreciated. We were there as a group of girlfriends but I would easily return with my family. Definitely recommend.   Great location facilities and staff. Hotel although is getting a little older the facilities are very well maintained. Just a couple of issues with visitors that weren’t staying at the hotel using facilities and this wasn’t managed. That said, our housekeeping and maintenance teams are present daily throughout the hotel to ensure everything remains in the best possible condition and that our guests enjoy the well-maintained atmosphere they rightly expect from a hotel of our category.We're sorry to hear about the issue with non-residents using our facilities. In general, access to the pool area is only permitted to external guests when occupancy is very low — and certainly never during peak season.   A well needed break in this fantastic hotel. From beginning to end the service was 5 star. The breakfast had such a variety of food to choose from, the rooms were amazing (the shower was so powerful!) and the location directly on the golf course was second to none.I am more of a beach lover than golf and the well maintained beach was just over 5 minutes away. I still want to be there!!!!   Very nice place to stay

  Even though I do agree with the fact that the hotel needs some good renovation and nice decoration, I have liked the place very much. Rooms are large and bathrooms even more. The pool is big with enough loungers all over, the beach is only 10mns walk.I have especially liked the people working at the desk, the pool restaurant, the night restaurant. They were nice and very professionals.Thank you Benjamin, Elena, Marilena, Beatrix...sorry for those I forgot. I also would like to say that the clients of the hotel are very well educated and friendly..   Overall I found the service here quite poor for what is supposedly a 5 star hotel. (More 3 star service.) Rooms are dated but fine. Food and beverage options pretty average. But overall I found the service lacklustre and the staff pretty quick to say no to requests. Just checked out and the woman on the front desk took 15 mins on a straightforward task. Even asking after 5 mins ‘what’s your room number again?’ after chatting to her colleague. Then when I asked to be charged in euros, I was charged in ££s so costing me exchange fees.
