Location

The hotel is situated in a superb location on the cliffs of Cabo Blanco and lies between 50 and 300 m from the sea. The rocky cove is accessible via a staircase of 360 steps. It is 11 km away from El Arenal, where guests will find beautiful beaches, shopping and entertainment venues. Buses run regularly from the hotel.

The complex offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, darts, squash, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. A wellness area with a spa is available to guests. For a fee, massage treatments are also offered. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a café and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options.

    Just come back from a week being a 2* hotel we didn't expect much ,but we were really surprised rooms are basic but clean & have whats need, food was fab drinks were good veiws were amazing & entertainment is really good had the best chilled time would recommend it

    Quite a poor time honestly, when we checked in We payed €15 euros for 7 days of wifi expecting it to work properly When we arrived at our bungalow 175 at the time, we got settled in and i went to type the code for the wifi in and i had connected to the wifi but it wouldn’t work at all and during our time at bungalow number 175 our entire electric box stopped working so we asked the staff if they could send a professional in to help fix it so the professional eventually arrived came in to sort the box out but couldn’t do anything about it and then while the professional was fixing it the electric blew up and we had to be moved to another bungalow down the path, “198” and when we entered the place was a mess, missing cupboard doors, broken tiles Water leaks, and more faults, there was a-lot more problems as well but I’ll leave it out because the review is getting long now but honestly i would say it’s Not the greatest but if you really want to go there you can this is just my personal experience here i’m just not a big fan of this resort after my experience there.

    Stayed here for a cheap long weekend. Arrived at 2am to a queue in reception. In the queue were 3 groups complaining about their room or location. We finally got checked in an hour later. Not a great start but we were allocated room A006 all the way down the bottom of the resort near to the cliff steps. It was a bit tricky to navigate in the dark with no knowledge of the area. This was ok the next day as we knew where we were going. The room was spacious and had a lovely front row view of the sea and sunset. Cleaning could have been better. There was a few hairs and a pill on the floor. Beds were comfortable.The food was poor but for a 2star hotel it was average and I didn’t have high expectations. We ordered pizza one evening, there were takeout menus in reception and you use WhatsApp to message them your order. Took about 30mins.Drinks were available on tap and lots of choice.The resort 3 pools. The bottom pool was not a place to relax. It was more party and shouting with a loud speaker playing music. The middle pool was small and I never seen anyone in it. The top pool was the best for us. Very relaxing and lots of space for everyone, only downside is it’s quite a trek from our bungalow.If you want a little getaway and you can get it cheap then it’s good. Just remember it is a 2 star hotel!

    This was our third stay at the hotel and unfortunately this visit was very disappointing and it was really shocking how much the service level has gone downhill since we last stayed a year ago. The main issue was the noise levels. There was a rooster directly outside our room that crowed repeatedly throughout the day and night including around 4am and midnight making it very difficult to sleep or relax.On top of this, the rooms are extremely poorly soundproofed. We could hear everything from next door, including very loud snoring at night and normal conversation as late as 1am, which made it feel like there was very little privacy or rest at any point. This is due to the economy rooms being just a spare bedroom in the bungalows that a wall has been put in and should not be a separate room however it is a way of making money. When we asked about upgrading to a bungalow we were told it would be an extra €42 a night which is more overall than we paid for one of us to come on the holiday. When we raised this with reception, we were told the hotel has already received multiple complaints about the rooster from previous guests. If this is a known ongoing issue, more should be done to manage it or at least avoid placing guests in the most affected rooms.We were offered a room move, however this would have required us to leave our room for the entire day after travelling overnight, which wasn’t a practical option for us at the time and which meant we would lose a day of our holiday waiting around to be told which room to go to at 4pm. Food at the hotel was also fairly average and not quite what we expected given the overall standard and price now the price is similar to other all inclusives in the centre and as Sun Club is in the middle of no where the location isn’t great. It’s a shame as there are some nice aspects to the hotel, but unfortunately the lack of sleep and how the situation was handled had a significant impact on what should have been a special trip.
