  A great location for a short glamorous break.

  The hotel is nice, very stylish. Quite modern but chic. The staff are excellent and very welcoming. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings. The food was superb although service on the second night was not great, which I am putting down to a language problem. But the first night service was excellent and on both nights I had the fillet steak which was really tasty. I would recommend it, but leave space for the apple pie, it was delicious. St Elm is a small resort, this hotel sits right on the beach. But due to the location parking is an issue. You can’t park at the hotel, and street parking is rare, so there are two car parks a close walk away. The one is free but almost always full, the other cost 5 euros a day, we left our car there and didn’t move it, so 10 euros (unfortunately our hire car was slightly damaged by another vehicle, a common occurrence in Spain). The Outside deck area is great, with nice well padded sunbeds overlooking the beach and sea, the deck is well managed with food and drink available to order. But you do have to pay, we went front line which was 30 euros each per day. In the summer I would suggest you reserve them at the time of booking, as the beds are available to non residents (at a much higher price). The Spa is very nice and luxurious but it quite small, but then most times you want to be outside not indoors, having said that there was plenty of space when we used it. The gym is smaller still, but has a good set of weights, a running machine, bike and multi gym. But I think 3 people in there at any one time and that would be it. The Spa pool is nice but not a swimming pool, this is the only pool of the hotel, (but you are right on the beach). There’s a good steam room, sauna and about 10 sunbeds on an outside terrace. The rooms in the round tower of the hotel - most have excellent sea views but have small balconies, our room was on the second floor, Room 214 which is a very nice room looking out to sea, you can’t see the main beach or much of the town but the sea views are lovely. Rooms on the first floor had bigger terraces with full sunbeds. Our terrace had two chairs and a table and a lot of unused space. But the two chairs got sun well into the afternoon. The room itself was excellent, a nice design with a magnificent large walk in shower and vanity area behind the bed. The bed itself was positioned so you could lie in bed and look out to sea. The only negative, I would suggest moving the ceiling hung television to the corner over the fridge, where it was meant I had to duck to get past it, which didn’t always happen! The drive to the hotel off the main road to Andratx is an experience! I enjoyed it, but my wife was bricking it! There are a couple of very tight hairpin bends and some quite delicate road edges. It’s obviously not a real issue as loads of visitors make the trip each day, but it’s quite a road to be treated with respect. As mentioned the hotel staff are all excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. They make staying here a pleasure. Overall our short stay was lovely, we really enjoyed it. The hotel is definitely worth a short stay, I would recommend it. (More of a couples destination than a family one, unless the children are small enough to enjoy the beach).

  This hotel is exceptional. Lovely position on the beach - so special to fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking outside my window! The staff are absolutely fantastic. Everyone of them did everything they could to make sure we were happy. The food was excellent. We are planning return very soon.

  Sister’s 50th burthday diner.

  For my sister's 50th birthday, we used the Aquamarin restaurant. From the moment I contacted them by email, they were so helpful. We weren't even staying with them, but in an apartment from the same chain. Everything I asked for was perfect. They made my sister's birthday dinner perfect: the space, the decor, the staff, the food, and not to mention the delicious cake. I can't thank you enough.
