This hotel is situated in the city of Palma close to one of the most beautiful and best equipped beaches on the island of Mallorca. The hotel is only a few metres from the magnificent seaside promenade which runs along the entire bay of Palma, past El Molinar, Portixol and Ciudad Jardín as far as Playa de Palma. The hotel's immediate vicinity features restaurants, bars and nightlife spots. The hotel has direct access to the motorways leading to the city of Palma, the district of Santanyí and the airport which is 8 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 17 junior suites, 8 single rooms and 48 double rooms located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Nice quite hotelArrived early and allowed into my room within 10min 👍 1 Disappointment was that the rooftop bar is disused now ☹ my other issue was I had room only basis and was told I could purchase breakfast each day @ 10€ after purchasing it on day 2 I realised I was being charged 14€I asked the question and was told its 14€ and the person who told me €10 had made a mistakeNice hotel good size clean room and bathroom 👍

    Outdated poor quality hotel with customer service to match

    I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 PM on a Sunday night, only to realize I had mistakenly booked for Monday night instead. My error which I accept completely. Fortunately, the receptionist informed me there was plenty of availability that night and kindly offered me a room. While he was sympathetic to my genuine mistake, he explained that I would need to authorize my credit card for the stay, as only the hotel manager in the morning had the authority to approve any exchange. As I had booked directly, a transfer of my original booking should not be a problem. The next morning, when I spoke to a different receptionist, I was told I could not receive a refund because my booking had prevented them from selling a room on Monday night. This was clearly untrue, as the hotel had ample availability that day. I pointed out that the hotel was actually in a better position to sell a room at 9:00 AM than the one I had actually taken at 11:30 PM, and since the cleaning and laundry costs were the same, the hotel had not suffered any loss due to my error. Despite this, the receptionist was extremely rude and refused to let me speak with the manager.The takeaway from my experience is this: if you expect basic decency, understanding, and good customer service, this is not the place to stay. Additionally, the rooms are outdated, reminiscent of a 1980s Travelodge. For a similar price, I recommend the Melia in Palma Bay, which offers nicer accommodations, better facilities, and far superior customer service.

    The room is not what you may expect for a 4* hotel. It is not what you book and not at all like the nice pictures. There is not even a small desk in the room, a chair to sit, or a small table to place your luggage.There is no privacy at all in ground-floor rooms.

    Very nice and accommodating staff, clean and simple room, nice property ... I would have given it a much higher rating but I have to warn fellow travelers about the noise. The hotel is like an echo chamber and you can hear things in the hallway and through the stairwell, as well as every footstep above. To make it worse, the other patrons were not considerate and were loud in the hallway and laughing and banging on a door at 2am.If I didn't need to hear my alarm, I would have put in earplugs. Maybe the hotel could put a sound-machine in every room.

    Excellent stay, great hotel with wonderful staff

    We had a lovely time at the Hotel Portofino, we stayed 5 nights. The staff were polite, helpful and kind including the cleaners, receptionists and the poolside bar staff. The rooms and hotel was kept clean at all times. There are great restaurants nearby and a supermarket and chemist on the corner. The beach is very close by with a beautiful beach. Will definitely be returning.
