    Unresolved package issue and poor communication

    I had two packages delivered to the hotel front office on February 3 and 4, confirmed by tracking.After initially denying having received the packages, I asked whether a colleague could pick them up, since I needed to check out.I followed up a few days later, and the hotel staff told me they had made a mistake and had already delivered the packages to my colleague's room.However, he reported that no packages were ever found in the room.Despite multiple follow-up emails, the issue remains unresolved.Communication was initially prompt, but after the delivery confirmation was questioned, responses stopped for several days. The replies started coming again after my colleague had checked out, and at that point, no one was available to take further action.To this day, the location of the packages remains unclear, and no concrete resolution has been provided.Very disappointing experience.

    I had a adjoining rooms with my son and at 8:30 the housekeeper opened the doors with her key to start cleaning. I've read complaints about this before and would have thought this was resolved. The housekeeping supervisor is at fault at this point for not "supervising" his staff. A false hotel apology is not what's needed. A hospitality service should be hospitable. Shame on Marriott, this hotel should not bear the brand. I frequent Pearland but will not come back to this hotel. The absurd management response " I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations response" that follows negative hotel customer reviews is a joke. Especially when the same complaint is reiterated about a single hotel. Don't stay here if you don't want a housekeeping "wake-up" call so you will leave earlier and she can quickly clean her rooms and go home. Don't let her have a job then rather than bringing down the hotel reviews.

    One of the worst experiences of my life. There was construction under my room that crated constant, loud noise all night. The hotel was full so I could not move to another room. I asked to have a refund so I could go to another hotel, and they refused. I asked them to reach out to a manager, but it was late and didn’t want to wake him. I called Marriott but they refused to help, other than to charge me for another room somewhere. I recommend you stay somewhere else.

    I stayed in Oct 2024. The staff is friendly and welcoming . However, the hotel is dirty. The rooms were not clean. The walls are very thin. I heard both neighbors discussions and noises. I could hear phone alarms in the morning or when phones rang. Doors slamming. My tv did not work.There was dust on the desk, tables and bathroom had hair on the floor and in sink. The elevator wouldn’t come to our floor. The ice machine was broken. The garbage on the floor by the elevator was overflowing. There were dead insects on the floor in my room. The pillows are very flat and flimsy. I did ask for more firm pillows. I was told they did not have any. Water pressure was low. The rugs are stained and appear dingy and dirty. The pool was closed. There were no lounge chairs out when it was open.

    Not good. Worst Courtyard I've stayed at

    We spent two nights at the Courtyard Pearland and didn't enjoy our stay. We were in town visiting family and wanted to be nearby. We arrived to the hotel around 8p and there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We waited about 5 minutes and someone from the Bistro came over to check us in, but she couldn't make us keys. I tried mobile check in to use a mobile key, but that wasn't working so we had to wait a few more minutes for the front desk clerk to show up and make our keys. Every time we we passed through the lobby and the two times we went to the lobby to get coffee and to check out, again there was no one at the front desk. The room while spacious had a strange layout and the bathroom door wouldn't stay open without using the doorstopper. But then it was a hassle every time you had to close the door. Also, there's only one hook behind the door to hang one towel and no other options. Lastly, when we got to the room, the air conditioner was set on 61 degrees and freezing! It was hot in Houston this weekend, but that felt really wasteful to just have it running and set at 61. ProsThe hotel is well located at the mall and easy to get to from the freeway. Also, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. ConsCheck in was a hassle and the front desk clerk was MIA. Also, the issues with the bathroom door were annoying and having nowhere to hang towels added to the frustration. We won't be back. This is my third poor experience at a Marriott property in a row so I just canceled three future stays at other Courtyards. Not sure what's going on with them lately, but certainly disappointed to say the least.
