Disappointed
14 Oct 2025
We stayed here for a conference, had a room booked at a block rate. Overall it was OK. We had trouble with the water pressure in the shower, very low. Beds had three pillows instead of four. We had an issue with the woman at the desk one evening when we needed regular creamer for our Keurig pods. Only flavored creamers were available, and her response was ' if it's not there, we don't have any'. Seriously? She couldn't find a couple of regular creamers? It seems petty, but pretty much reflects the level of service at this hotel. However, the bartender went above and beyond to take care of customers, including us, who were there late on a Saturday evening. We'll probably look for somewhere else to stay next time we need a room in downtown Mankato.

Hello, I am terribly sorry for the experience you had with our property. We are working with a local company to address our water pressure issues, currently they are set to come in next week. We would love if you gave us another chance as we are in the process of remedying this issue. Three pillows is the number of pillows we ask our housekeepers to leave on queen sized beds. We do however understand that three isn't always enough, as such we have more available upon request. I do apologize that this was not properly communicated by our team. In regard to the coffee creamer, that should never have been the response from our Guest Associate. I will absolutely be having a conversation with my team about how we expect guests to be treated. Would stay here again.
29 Jul 2025
Convenient location for an event at the Mayo Event Center. I saw Social Distortion at the end of June. Free parking in the connected ramp. The front deck staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was firm and offered good support. There was plenty of hot water in the shower the next morning. The in room mini fridge and coffee maker were appreciated. Ice machine down the hall. The room had a great view of the Minnesota River. You do need your room key to use the elevator. If I have another reason to be in Mankato, I’d stay here again.

Stolen money from purse
30 May 2025
I stayed a weekend at this Hilton and after returning home, I realized I accidentally left my purse in the room. I contacted hotel staff and informed them of the situation and asked if they could ship it to me as we don’t live close by. They told me they would email me a link to a site where I could pay the shipping fee then they would ship it to me. I waited five days and never received the email link. Finally I decided to make to trip back to Mankato to pick it up myself as I wasn’t about to wait another week for it to show up in the mail. I got my purse back only to discover that the cash that had been inside my wallet was now missing. Along with the missing cash, my wallet also contained debit and credit cards which were physically returned to me however I suspect the card information has been recorded.

Good location, Needs upgrades
10 Dec 2024
This Hilton is in downtown Mankato, adjacent to River, and close to convention center and food. They allow pets, and there are nearby trails and parks . Covered parking is available, which is nice in winter. The hotel is dated, the rooms have poor lighting, the furnishings need upgrades, the WiFi is poor and cannot handle streaming. Worst of all, they were unable to keep the peloton connected to the internet or functional for the entire time I was there. According to the last connection test- it hadn’t functioned for 2 months. The Peloton was the only reason I chose this hotel, and it was nonfunctional. The desk refused to give me the access code so that I could work on it myself. For the price, the hotel should offer much more. The staff is friendly, but lacks customer service skills and is ill- informed about the rooms- we were told before check - in that our room was a 2 room suite, which was important as we were largely hotel confined for the 3 days that we stayed. It was a single room, and the desk attendant did not know the difference between the room layouts.

Great vacation hotel. Plenty of things to do in the area. Nice view from the room, very spacious. Front desk was friendly. Very clean room and halls. Vending area was kept clean and tidy. Nice pool area, always plenty of towels.
