  A Miette Mountainous Treasure

  Miette Mountain Cabins is a most enjoyable and welcoming dwelling for rest and relaxation. It is close to jasper and Hinton for any entertainment or shopping needs, or wants:)!The entire staff, who are most accommodating and pleasant, go out of their way to ensure that your stay is most enjoyable. Pet friendly, a games room, and always coffee, tea and cookies in the sitting area of the main building add to your pleasure. This is truly a delightful place to stay.   Nice but not $700/night nice

  We stayed here for three nights in Aug 2025, Room 220 in the lodge. The room was nice. It’s two levels with the bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There’s a pullout couch on the main level a kitchen and a bathroom. There’s were obvious maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Some of the screens in the windows were duct taped. The blinds would fall even when raised. The door was crooked and hard to close. But the suite itself was reasonably clean. There is a tv but the channels did not come through and it’s not a smart tv so you can’t sign in to any streaming services. I’m not really sure why they even have it there to be honest. The minimal supplies are provided in the room like soap, dishwasher tabs, towels, etc. You can’t ask for more at the front desk. Housekeeping was not provided unless asked for. There was a nice enough games room and lounge with coffee and tea and cookies. The outdoor pool was ok. The pool deck was not my favorite as the cement was rough and uneven. The hot tub was not working for the entire length of our stay. We paid $2100 CAD for three nights. I would not stay here again for that kind of money.   A wonderful experience during our Rockies Road Trip - great for families!

  We loved our experience at Miette Mountain Cabins. We stayed 2 nights during our family road trip through the Rocky Mountains and into Alberta. Having spent the day hiking in Banff, doing the Columbia Icefield Experience, and driving all the way to Miette, we were exhausted by the time we reached the cabins. However, we were welcomed by the front desk clerk and I was informed that they upgraded us to a larger cabin. What a nice surprise! The reception area has a gift shop/supply store. There's a games room with shuffle board, a pool table, board games, a dart board, and other entertainment as well as a comfy seating area. Also a fantastic bonus was the complimentary fancy coffee maker (for espresso drinks, tea, and hot chocolate) and cookies [we visited often]. Outside was a pool (which we didn't get a chance to use).The log cabin we were in was lovely. It had a high peak with windows for light. Each cabin had a gorgeous hanging basket at the front porch as well as chairs to hang out on. Inside, there was a spacious area for our family to relax in and have meals. Our kids stayed on the sofa bed and my husband and I used the bedroom. Again, very spacious.The kitchen was great. Having done research ahead of time, I knew that the nearest grocery story was 40 minutes away in Jasper so we came prepared with food to cook. We chose Miette over Jasper for a home base because we wanted something out of the city and we knew we wanted to go to the Miette Hot Springs (which are a 15 minute drive up the road from the cabins. All-in-all, we loved our experience and would highly recommend the Miette Mountain Cabins.   Misleading Cabins, Rude Service – A Terrible Experience

  I rarely write reviews on TripAdvisor or Google, and when I do, they are usually positive. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share this negative experience so others don’t make the same mistake we did.We stayed 4 nights during our Jasper vacation, and the cabins were nothing like what the website promised. They are shockingly small — two people cannot move around at the same time. If you open the sofa bed, there is literally no space left to walk. The sofa bed itself was soggy and uncomfortable. The utensils provided were old and dirty. There was no AC, and the two table fans provided were noisy and barely functional.At check-in, the front desk person told us rooms are cleaned every other day. Not once did housekeeping come during our stay. When I brought this up, the front desk lady denied ever saying that and accused me of lying. Instead of resolving the issue, she told me that guests have to request cleaning (something never mentioned at check-in). To make things worse, when I asked about garbage removal, she pointed to a dumpster outside and told me to take it out myself.This would be disappointing at budget rates — but we were paying what I would consider Ritz-Carlton prices per night. For that kind of money, you expect at least basic service and honesty.I’m writing this review not out of spite, but as a warning: don’t ruin your vacation like we did by staying here. Jasper is beautiful, and there are far better places to spend your money than this poorly managed property.   Absolutely a most enjoyable stay! The accommodation was perfectly located, lovely, clean and quiet. The reception was outstanding upon check in and out as well as during our visits to the office area. Angel is truly that, an angel.
