A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball, basketball and archery. For a fee, guests can also enjoy tennis, golf and horse riding. Water sports on offer include water aerobics or, for a fee, sailing and diving. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, darts, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. A wellness area with a sauna is available to guests. For a fee, massage treatments are also offered. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Dining facilities include a breakfast room and a bar. Guests can enjoy dining in the cosy atmosphere of the 2 restaurants (non-smoking and a buffet available). Breakfast, lunch and dinner offer many delicious options. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes, children's meals and lactose-free food can be prepared on request.     Even though Cala Mesquida is a bit secluded, don't let that fool you. This place is a wonderful surprise! The hotel – Zafiro Cala Mesquida – is beautiful, welcoming, and thoroughly modern.​From the moment you step into the reception and are greeted by smiling, helpful staff, you feel incredibly well taken care of. Whether you are having dinner, walking around the property, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying an ice cream at the bar, the service is top-notch. The staff are highly attentive but never pushy.​For children and teenagers, there are excellent shows every day, featuring both an engaging entertainment team and talented guest artists. Every evening, before and after the main show, they host fun Kahoot competitions for kids and families.​The hotel features several pool areas, with multiple lifeguards stationed at each pool, making you feel very safe. The beach is perfect for lazy days and a dip in the stunningly crystal-clear water. Additionally, the surrounding areas offer great opportunities for a hike up into the hills/mountains if you want to explore.​There are plenty of activities to join, ranging from hotel-organized football and minigolf to horseback riding nearby. Multiple times a day, there are fun pool activities, including aqua aerobics and games for the kids.The rooms are nice, and several has kitchen, and ok sized refrigerator. Price for drinks and food are reasonable. Even tho the hotel is near a street there is little to no noise, and the pool closes at a given time, and people respect that and keeps the noise leven low at all times generally. The area - streets, beach, hotel interior and exterior are kept clean and nice at all times. ​Highly recommended for a great family holiday!

    After a two-week stay, we have to say that, for the most part, we were disappointed with this hotel.The two biggest highlights were the view of the mountains and the sea from our penthouse and the friendliness of the staff.The food and drinks were a major disappointment.The quantity was there, but the quality was, by our standards, downright horrible.The hotel also has virtually no parking, which makes it a real challenge if you have a rental car.There are a few nearby streets and a public parking lot where you can park, but because of the beach, it fills up quickly.We felt that the price was not reflective of the quality.This was a one-time experience for us.     Fantastic hotel for our family holiday

    We have just left the Zafiro Cala Mesquida and had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. There were 4 adults and 2 kids (2 and 4) and the hotel was perfect - a good balance of classy, clean and high quality & also perfect for the kids. Various pool options for during the day - a pool with an inflatable pillow which the kids (and us!) loved, a kids splash pool, a few quieter pools but the best for us was the pool across the road from the hotel (still part of the hotel, next to the apartments) which was always quieter with sun beds and double comfy sun beds too. Every pool has a pool bar in close proximity and the standard of drinks is high - all brands included in all inclusive (Smirn off, Gordon’s, Malibu etc.) - good beer too! The beach is a 5 minute walk and is lovely - beach bar there too (not all inclusive). The pools don’t open until 10am which at first we found strange but it totally removed the ‘towels on sunbeds at 6am’ drama. There are 2 play parks (one right next to the buffet restaurant and one over the road at the other pool) and the kids loved these while waiting for the pool to open - also means you can enjoy your meal and let them play! There is the main buffet restaurant which did breakfast, lunch and dinner - great variety and high quality food (we are foodies and were a bit worried about the food). There is another evening buffet restaurant (Mon-Fri) which was also lovely. À la carte restaurant which you get as part of all inclusive for 1 visit - really lovely and by the poolside. There is also a lunch restaurant which is table service with a menu and is included in your all inclusive package (we loved this).Our room was amazing - we upgraded to a pool view and were lucky enough to get a corner room so much bigger (2108) - bedroom, living room/kitchenette, bathroom and LOADS of storage. All the staff were very friendly, great animation team with activities throughout the day and kids disco from 8pm followed by evening show which was family friendly. The main lounge bar by the pool where the shows took place was table service and the cocktail list is huge (properly made with brand spirits) - delicious! The only downside which wasn’t even a downside for us but might be for others is that Cala Mesquida itself has no restaurants or bars so you can’t walk to the town. However, Cala Ratjada is only a 10 minute drive away and was gorgeous - lovely restaurants and shops - we went 4 times!.Honestly a fantastic holiday for a self-confessed holiday snob!! Maybe not for couples looking for a quiet break but perfect for families! Thank you Zafiro Cala Mesquida!!
