Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers and families, this hotel lies in the heart of Alcúdia, about 5 minutes from the beach.

Facility

The hotel has a lifts and features 369 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A babysitting service (for a fee), a car hire service, medical assistance, a laundry service, a conference room and a lounge are available. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. A bicycle hire service gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. Rooms include a king-size bed. Guests can also book separate bedrooms. For the littlest travellers, children's beds can be provided at no extra charge. A safe and a desk or, for an additional fee, a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A selection of pillows ensures a comfortable stay. Amenities in the bathrooms include a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are provided. Sport

Guests can relax and enjoy swimming in the pool area, which includes 10 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools. There is a children's swimming area as well. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers a range of outdoor sport, including tennis, beach volleyball and volleyball or, for a fee, crazy golf, golf, paddle tennis and horse riding. With water aerobics or, for a fee, motorboat rides, paddle boating, banana boat rides, sailing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, table tennis, darts and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards and squash. A spa, a sauna and a hammam are included among the wellness options. For an additional fee, massage treatments are also available. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including 5 restaurants, a café and a bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The hotel also offers snacks. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Warning to Majorca Alcudia district

    I went to Alcudia with a friend.Lovely holiday BUT warning...We were robbed outside the Hotel Astoria Playa just before boarding our transfer coach back to Palma airport.The man pushed us both over & stole our carry on bags containing our passports ,driving licence, all our money & credit cards.We spent 12 hrs in Palma airport with no money for water & food.No one helped us.I had to get someone from UK to come & get us.Consulate not open weekends so no help.Passport a nightmare to get another one.Spent over 1000 each for a hotel & food & flight home.Warning...Do keep passports in hold case ,not in carry on ,untill you get to check in.Im very Tramatised & my friend who is 84yrs Zafiro Hotels, Otros at Zafiro Palace Alcudia, responded to this review Dear Sir,Thank you for your feedback.     The Zafira,Palace is a lovely hotel, great for families, rooms are lovely, food is excellent in all restaurants there . The staff are lovely, they can't do enough for you, and my granddaughter who has severe allergies, the chef actually made her several dishes just specifically for her. The only thing that spoilt it was that people saved chairs by the kids pool and one rude German man was very abusive to me as he thought I had moved his towel, but the lifeguards had moved it, but they are trying to address that problem which I think is common in lots of hotels.I would definitely recommend this hotel and it is very close to the beach and port. We had an excellent holiday here.
