The hotel is situated on the quay beside the lake of Viñuela in the Axarquía region. The idyllic rural surroundings make it the perfect place for a hiking holiday. The coast and the nearest sandy beaches are 15 km away. The local town of Torre del Mar is also 14 km away. Here guests will find a vast array of restaurants, bars and clubs. The tourist centre of Nerja is 40 km from the hotel. Málaga is 45 km away and Granada is approximately 75 km from the premises.

    ????? A Wonderful Hotel and Restaurant in La ViñuelaWe had a lovely experience at B bou Hotel La Viñuela & Spa. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with wonderful views of the reservoir and gardens.The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, delicious food and attentive service. It is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing meal, whether you are visiting as a couple, with friends or with family.We would happily recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone looking for a special place to eat and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of La Viñuela.Highly recommended! We look forward to coming back.

    We have stayed at la vinuela hotel for a few years and we feel this is now our favourite go to holiday destination. It is in a fabulous location but above all, it is the staff that make the experience very enjoyable. Whether it is Sylvia at breakfast, or Avil and Pablo at lunch or David and Sylvester in the evening, we experience the professional, caring and can do attitude that makes our holiday experience so enjoyable. The food and wine are excellent. The house rioja, white, red and rosè are selected to be good value for money, which for me is extremely important. We spend a great deal of time at the pool which overlooks the lake. It would be difficult to find a better view. The outside restaurant offers a truly beautiful view over looking the pine trees and lake. Wow! What a view. Our room (110) over looks the swimming pool which is great to wake upto. The finer details please, the beautiful smell as you walk through the corridors to your room and the cleanliness of the toilets are exemplary! Well done!

    A gem of a hotel

    This is a gem of a hotel. We wanted to book a small boutique hotel in a quiet location, with good food and sunshine. La Vinuela did not disappoint. Situated on the banks of a lake (reservoir) with mountain views in an exceptionally quiet location La Vinuela is an ideal hotel to get away from it all. But be warned there are no small towns or villages within walking distance, so I was glad we chose the half board option. The food was excellent and portion size generous, I only made it to the desert course on 2 occasions! There is a Spa on site and I treated myself to a relaxing Spa treatment one afternoon, which was delightful.There are only 30 generous sized bedrooms overlooking either the lake or mountains but the hotel is a destination wedding venue, (4 took place during our weeks stay) these celebrations are self contained and did not bother us in any wayWe are already looking at booking again for next year, but next time will hire a car giving us more freedom to explore the area. , Other at Bbou Hotel La Vinuela & Spa, responded to this review Dear Jules,Thank you so much for sharing such a comprehensive and lovely review of your stay at B bou Hotel La Viñuela & Spa.     Perfect Choice

    Very nice hotel we were not staying here but we were told it was the place to come for a meal. We went for dinner and sat out on the terrace. Decided not to have a starter just a main and maybe a dessert. As we sat at the table the waiter ask about a drink, we all had gin and tonics, these were beautiful, probably 3 shots of gin in each glass. Then a choice of hot bread rolls, followed by a plate of cheese, Stilton and we think goats cheese dribbled with olive oil. We were thankful we had not ordered a starter, Three of us had the seabass fillet and one choice was the slow braised beef. Both choices were absolutely wonderful, cooked to perfection.For dessert we chose the creamy cheesecake, it was gorgeous.The staff were friendly, on hand if you needed them.
