Clean and Comfortable close to Train Station

    rating11 Oct 2026

Clean and Comfortable close to Train Station which was perfect for our 1 night stay however has to Uber or Bolt to the historic area for other activities Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Barcelo Malaga, responded to this review Dear Guest,We appreciate you sharing your perspective with us.We are delighted that you found our hotel clean and comfortable during your overnight stay, and it is rewarding to know that our high standards of hygiene and our welcoming rooms contributed to a pleasant experience. That said, we are sorry that the connection to the historic centre required additional transport. Our hotel does enjoy direct access to the AVE high-speed train station, and the city's main attractions, including the Cathedral and the Picasso Museum, are only a 20-minute walk away.Nonetheless, we are pleased that our proximity to María Zambrano station proved convenient for your travel plans. We are also glad you appreciated the quality of our rooms, designed to offer both relaxation and functionality. We hope that you will return soon for another pleasant stay. Best wishes,Management Team Barceló Málaga

Great hotel, great location, great amenities, and a fantastic team of people like Olivia!!!

    rating08 Oct 2026

Thanks to "Olivia" (the Guest Experience Manager), our wonderful Barcelo hotel rep! She was very helpful and ensured we had a really wonderful 9 days at the Barcelo Malaga hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the facilities and features of the room were flawless --- and the staff even provided additional complimentary bottles of water almost every! The air conditioning worked great and the staff were very attentive to items we needed during our stay. We have stayed at several other Barcelo hotels here in Spain, and this is definitely one of, if not THE BEST, of the group. It has a lot of great amenities such as free (secure) WiFi and a great location. Also, the huge "slide feature" from the 1st floor to the ground was a great thrill. Our stay was definitely a 10/10... and we will be back again, and again...!!! Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Barcelo Malaga, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your positive review. We are thrilled that your 9-day stay at Barceló Málaga was such a memorable experience and that Olivia, our Guest Experience Manager, made a lasting impression. She takes genuine pride in ensuring every guest feels cared for, and it is lovely to know her efforts resonated with you.It is a pleasure that your room met all your expectations, from the spotless presentation to the smooth-running air conditioning and the thoughtful touches like complimentary water. Knowing that the facilities worked flawlessly and that our team remained attentive to your needs throughout your visit means a great deal to us.We are also glad you made the most of our amenities, including the secure WiFi and the slide that connects the first floor to the lobby. It certainly adds a playful touch to the stay, and seeing guests enjoy it is always rewarding.Your loyalty to Barceló Hotels across Spain and your kind words about this property being among the finest you have experienced truly motivate us to keep delivering warm and consistent hospitality. All the team looks forward to seeing you again in the future.Best regards,Equipo de Dirección Barceló Málaga

Great location, clean and spacious rooms

    rating06 Oct 2026

The hotel was in a great location, all staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a small issue which was resolved promptly once flagged to reception. My one downfall of the hotel was the lack of mirrors. There was only one mirror in the bathroom. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Barcelo Malaga, responded to this review Dear Amyrh,Thank you for choosing us and for sharing your review. We are delighted that you found our location convenient and that our team made such a warm impression with their attentive and friendly service. That said, we are sorry for the shortcoming regarding the mirrors in your room. Our reception team is always on hand to assist with any preferences you may have, and for a future stay we would be happy to find a room that suits all your needs. Finally, it is wonderful that the spaciousness and cleanliness of your accommodation contributed to a comfortable visit, and that the small issue you raised was resolved swiftly once brought to our attention. We hope to provide you with a more enjoyable stay in the future.Kind regards,Management Team Barceló Málaga
