    This hotel is remote, peaceful and in a beautiful setting. The style is rustic - rust coloured tiles on the floor, white washed walls, wooden beams in the ceiling and wooden window shutters. It is set in a beautiful complex with a pool (closed until May when we visited). Food at the hotel - breakfast choices are simple but ample and well re-stocked. The evening meals were delicious with ample food. The room I had (10) overlooked the rear but I could see the sun rising over the nearby hills. It is a hacienda style with some rooms situated outside of the main building. Perfect if you’re looking for peace & quiet and countryside.

    we spent 10 delightful days at El Horcajo. The hotel is situated at the heart of the Ronda mountains in its own valley. Wonderfully rustic rooms formed from the old Cortijo surrounded by acres of natural cork forest. Simple Andalusian fare served either inside the quaint restaurant or outside under the shade of ancient trees. All complimented by super friendly and efficient staff. Absolutely magnifico

    “The local food” was big disappointment

    This is a very beautiful location in the middle of nature. We loved the nature and the hotel area. But this is not a 3 star hotel. Rooms were old, dirty and there are spiders and bugs everywhere. Food was the biggest disappointment. This is so called “tasty local foods”. Breakfast is also very basic.

    We stayed at El Horcajo in early October for one night. It was beautiful and very peaceful location and was a welcoming and charming place to stay. It is situated half an hour from Ronda and it's a world apart. The farm is in a valley surrounded by the mountains. It's a wonderful place to base yourself for the area to visit the White Villages and take hikes and walks, which are endless.The staff couldn't be more friendly and and the evening meals are excellent.The pool was well-kept and it was a unique experience to swim to the sound of goats and sheeps.We would happily return!

    Con esto del Covid queríamos pasar un Fin de año especial, nos decidimos por una noche en familia en este precioso y tranquilo hotel rural. No pudimos estar mas acertados!!! Un clima excelente, trato maravilloso del personal, que te hace sentirte como en casa (o mejor), un entorno relajado y espectacular, si buscas naturaleza, calma, espacio para los niños, espacio para ti, un lugar donde desconectar y donde sin duda volveremos. Eligiéndolo como nuestro destino Top!!Muy muy recomendable!!!With this situation of Covid, we wanted to spend a special New Year's Eve, then we decided to have a family night in this beautiful and quiet hotel. We couldn´t have chosen better!!! An excellent climate, wonderful treatment of the staff, who make you feel at home (or better), a relaxed and spectacular environment, if you are looking for nature, calm, space for children, space for you, a place to disconnect and where we will get back for sure!! Chosen it as our Top destination !!Very highly recommended !!!
