    Terrible wifi, basically unusable. Airport shuttle has very limited hours. No good restaurants nearby.

    My flight was overbooked so I arrived here by “accident “ until I could get a flight the next day. The staff are super friendly and the hotel is clean and nice with spacious rooms. The best bit…….the food!! Wow, the chef is very talented. I had the best meal I had had since arriving in Malaga. Absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend. Amazing 🤩

    Cortijo Chico Is the Place to Stay!

    We stayed at Cortijo Chico because we had an EARLY departure from Malaga airport and wanted a quiet place to stay. I was surprised by how nice (and quiet, for being so close to an airport) the hotel is. The staff made us feel very welcome and valued, which was a really pleasant experience. Specifically, I'd like to point our the receptionist who helped us check-in: she gave us great advice and information. Sadly, I don't remember her name, but she was super! I have only positive things to say about our stay. The room was very clean and modern, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. (I think the hotel is new.) One of the best aspects of Cortijo Chico is free parking! It is only a 10-minute drive from the airport, and for that reason alone, I think we will stay there again. We didn't have the chance to try the restaurant or bar, but the menu looked good and the prices seemed reasonable for a hotel. If you want a quiet stay near the airport without the hassle of being near an airport, Cortijo Chico is the place to stay!

    Very disappointed in this hotel and the mold that was identified all over the bathroom sink and tub. I went to the front desk and showed pictures and asked for a change of room, they were not able to accommodate and offered a smaller downgraded room from what we paid for. In addition, when we pulled back the window curtain, our view looked onto a brick wall and industrial air conditioning units. We explained to the desk we booked a triple room, even with just my husband and I to get a larger room. We asked to be compensated for the issues and were told that they would get back to us, that was 3 weeks ago. I haven't ever written a hotel review prior to this but wanted to warn travelers who wanted a quick stop nearby the airport as we did, this was a huge mistake. Absolutely awful and so glad we were only there for a few hours before a very early flight! Gabriel Serrano, Director General at Hotel Cortijo Chico Malaga Airport, responded to this review Dear Ms. Melher,We are very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations.However, I must point out that several elements of your review are not accurate. You booked a triple room, and that is precisely what was provided. Upon check-in, you contacted reception to request a room with a garden view. My colleague did her best to accommodate your request, but unfortunately, all such rooms were fully booked.At that point, you threatened to leave negative reviews on various platforms unless we offered your stay free of charge—something we simply cannot do, especially since our property does not guarantee garden views at the time of booking.Despite these threats, we kindly informed you that no garden-view rooms were available but offered you a complimentary drink in the garden as a gesture of goodwill. After accepting and enjoying this courtesy, you returned to your room and claimed there was mold present. This appeared to be another attempt to find grounds for not paying for your stay. We immediately offered to send a staff member to clean the minimal trace of dampness you mentioned, but you declined.Upon your departure, you again threatened to leave negative reviews unless the room charge was waived. However, we must uphold our responsibility to charge for the service provided, especially when it matched the terms of your booking. We regret this situation, but we do not operate under threats.Lastly, your claim that it took us three weeks to respond to your complaint is incorrect. You stayed with us on May 28. On May 29, we responded with an apology and informed you that your complaint would be reviewed. On June 9—just 10 days later, not 21 as you stated—our response had already been posted. This timeline can be fully verified through our email correspondence.We believe this clarifies the situation and highlights the inaccuracies in your statements.Kind regards,

    We were a group of 42 and our flight was cancelled. We arrived around 18h30, all the rooms were ready, we even had and amazing dinner. Rooms were extremely clean, well furnished with towels and toiletries; the private little garden was so nice! The service from the reception the bar and the dining room was also excellent.Thanks to the team for your kindness.
