  We spent 1 night here last minute. It gave me vibes of a party hotel but we had no issues and it wasn't loud on a Friday night even though the city was buzzing. It's in a quiet location but walking distance to everything.Our room was ok. The beds were comfortable but there was a broken lamp and it felt a bit run down. It was clean and housekeeping were really quick at setting up the sofa bed for us. The microwave, fridge and sink was a nice touch and we thought it would have been good for younger families.It was good for the location but I didn't feel it was worth the last minute price we paid of over €200 for one night. I would stay again if it was cheaper.

  Some positive things such as the lovely helpful staff and the location only 5 or 10 minutes walk to almost everything in MalagaWhat’s the problem? Some observations - at 200 a night with breakfast this should be better:The rooms are not suites. They are large but oddly shaped rooms.The toilet is in a tiny cupboard you can hardly move with no hot water coming out the tap to wash your handsThe bathroom is good with decent facilities but strangely located next to the bed a long way from the toilet at night with a weird noisy sliding door The furnishings are 70s Formica retro and everything is awkward to open and use even the coffee cups are unbalanced on the finger. Breakfast is served in reception and is busy and noisy and very canteen like with the food being mediocre. TV so far from the bed you can hardly see it and definitely can’t hear it with a max volume of 18 - thankfully the engineer altered it for us. Only 2 English channels working CNN and Bloomberg disappointing to say the least The room is way too hot at night as 3 huge glass windows with sun in them all day and air con not available in winter apparentlyNo plug socket on 1 side of bed - come on it’s 2026 in a modern hotel room we need plug sockets and USC charge points - ridiculous set up where one of you has to charge the phone at the other end of the room.We booked and paid in advance to get a cheaper rate otherwise we would have chosen one of the many better options in Malaga . So disappointing for a Novotel that is supposed to be 4 stars and they are usually a high standard

  Fantastic hotel,comfy and close to everything you need.

  Fantastic hotel close to the city ,restaurants,castle museums etc.Room was lovely ,separate wc plus a bath. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had problem with car hire and they rang them for us.Really enjoyed our stay here.

  We checked in as a family of four for 4 nights .Despite the hotel promotes itself as a for star hotel, we found the rooms very basic . We had issues during the first night as the window seal was not tight and we could hear the wind blowing all night . The receptionist had kindly agreed to allocate another room same floor , I check the window had the same issue so I politely declined to change the room.We didn’t try breakfast as it was €16 per person per night , leave the hotel walk 100 m and you can have fabulous breakfast for €25for the whole family.In the morning when guests shuts their door you could feel the it e wall shaking .After checking out , while waiting for Uber, receptionist came after me saying you have to pay €10 for something you took from the room.I asked him to check if it was 418, he said yes, Uber was outside already.I asked him what did I take he apologised that it was his mistake.The hotel provided a very basic accommodation close to city centre and overall was ok.Non of the staff stood out.We were checked in by the kitchen staff as the only receptionist took over 20 minutes with difficult guest who was so so considerate 👎 re the Q building behind him.I didn’t look for broken fixtures in the room and everything was clean and worked perfectly.

  This four-star property is located very close to the main area of the city center. The staff were very friendly and always available to provide information.All of our rooms were labeled as “suites,” although they did not feature a separate living room, so the designation feels somewhat misleading. The rooms themselves were clean and modern, very much in line with the typical Novotel style, with furniture and layout carefully designed to make the most of the available space.Standard amenities such as razors, combs, and shower caps were available upon request; however, I would suggest providing them directly in the room, as their absence feels more like a cost-cutting measure than a sustainability-driven choice.Breakfast was included in our stay, but unfortunately it was the main disappointment. There is no dedicated breakfast area, as it is served in the same space as the reception, which is far from ideal. While there was a decent selection of sweet and savory options, the overall quality was just average.Overall, I would recommend this property only if booked at a special rate or, like me with All Accor points. While it delivers on the basics, there are nearby hotels that appear more appealing and offer a better overall experience.
