  The hotel is old and in bad condition. Elevator Were Not working, none of the phones of the rooms were working , despite I advised the front desk , they were never fixed. Room service is not offered. And the hospitality and service at their restaurant and cafeteria was very disappointing .   Check in was good, lunch was delicious, the room was large and airy, the bed was very comfortable.Dinner however was a disaster. Barbecue food was available, we ate 5 sardines and 5 prawns between us, which were very good. The chicken kebab was raw and cold. The waitress took it away and brought the same chicken back after cooking for a couple of minutes more. Totally unacceptable, especially as there were pieces of vegetables on the plate which had been next to the raw chicken. We left the restaurant and discussed the issue with reception in the morning. They didn't charge for the chicken, but insisted that we pay for the rest of the meal. We thought a gesture of goodwill would have been to cancel the bill altogether.   Stayed in family suite. Each room has its own external door to outside. Choose hotel for the free parking and proximity to road network and plaza mayor. Nice place to stay BUT first of all when we checked in our room wasn’t ready for several hours after the check in time this was extremely disappointing. We then had an incident, came back to our room after a day out and our door was open ! Thinking we had been burgled or the intruder was still inside, once bravely determined this wasn’t the case , informed reception of this and they couldn’t care less. Most important ask when staying in any hotel is that your room is secure! The next day came back after a day out and couldn’t get in the room , our swipe card access had been cancelled. Again had to go to the reception to resolve. Overall these issues ruined the stay at this hotel and the lack of concern from the hotel staff was shocking Parador Málaga Golf, Other at Parador de Malaga Golf, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your comment about your experience at our hotel.   We arrived later in the evening after a long flight and check in was easy. The staff at the front desk and bar were friendly. Our room was a typical standard room and it offered a nice view of the grounds and Mediterranean. It had a small balcony. One deal breaker for some people would be hearing the aircraft taking off and landing at nearby Málaga airport every five minutes. That lasted until about 23:30. For the one night we were there the noise wasn’t an issue, but would be annoying for longer stays. One suggestion would be to polish the bathroom countertops to remove the water spots and glass rings that no long wipe off.   Convenient golf experience

  The hotel is old and the rooms are large but could use updating with some new decor. The bathrooms are great -- large with 2 sinks. The pool is a giant round pool in the middle of the property. There are no chairs to sit next to it oddly..so not appealing to me. The golf course is not in great shape. Needs lots of work...very messy and muddy. We are American so perhaps our golf course standards are a bit different. The tennis courts are a mess and in general the property could use a refresh...it reminds me of camp or a club med. Great location for the airport and fun to golf next to the sea.
