Location

The hotel is located in the historical city centre of Malaga, next to the cathedral and at the junction of Calle Larios, the commercial and recreational centre of the city, and Plaza de la Constitución. It is only a short walk away from other attractions of great interest such as Malaga cathedral and the Picasso Museum as well as the marina and the city's commercial port. Malaga's sandy beach is just 900 m away. The hotel is well-connected to all kinds of train, tram and bus services to all important destinations in the city including Malaga International Airport (10 km).

The hotel was built in 1800. The hotel has 66 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day.     A very warm and informative welcome. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the many local attractions. We had a room overlooking the cathedral which was very quiet and comfortable with the air con working well in the warm weather. The surrounding area is filled with good quality bars, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast in the hotel is excellent with lots of choice.     Great hotel but overrated for a 4 star.I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times for several years now. Love the staff, always friendly and great location.The interior of the common area, the breakfast room and rooms are a mix match of everything, not really 4 star worthy. Some rooms are really small, facilities are okay. Maintenance is a real downfall. They should renovate but instead are still open and the roomrates have increased. The last time I stayed there this February, there was even an open gap in the wall. They are kind to allocate my preferred room but this is unacceptable for a 4 star (even when I mentioned it, they responded careless).The breakfast is amazing, actually has become even better then before. However they only have a small breakfast area, but breakfast is always included with every booking, no option. The consequence is an extreme bussy breakfast time, with sometimes queues.....Cleaning can be better, rooms are not always thoroughly cleaned. And items are not always added as should be.Love this place but definitely not a 4 star. You pay a lot for only the location.     We stayed at the Petit Palace Plaza in Malaga for four nights. We enjoyed our time in Malaga and the hotel is well located, clean and friendly. It is also tired and in need of rejuvination. The bedroom was good but a bit dark. Could the management do something about the noise from outside the hotel in the early hours of the morning? It seems to be pavement cleaning but it is very intrusive and not conducive to a good night's sleep. Finally, I do not think a hotel should have four, or even three, stars when it cannot provide any meals other than breakfast.     Lovely short 3 night stay at this spotlessly clean comfortable hotel in an excellent quiet street steps away from a main bustling popular square.     What a lovely stay we had in this hotel . Situated right in the centre of the city and everything was within easy walking distance . Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice and the staff were friendly and very helpful. All 6 of us couldn’t fault it. If we return to Malaga we will definitely stay again.
