Location

This hotel is located in the centre of a small rural village, on a square with a fountain and a small church. It is a quiet place where guests can observe the day-to-day life of a typical Andalusian village. Málaga Airport is some 60 km from the hotel.

    Charming and lovely hotel and restaurant

    This is a beautiful little hotel and restaurant serving delicious meals in Malaga. We stayed here as we were on a hiking holiday and it was great. The food is brilliant and all the staff take care of you and they are kind and patient. I was able to practice my Spanish and have a really nice time with my family. Breakfast is a buffet which is great and they keep the coffee flowing. The dinner menu has a multitude of options and specials each day. They can also provide pack lunches for hiking trips. The rooms have balconies with beautiful views of the town square. There is no issue with noise level as the rooms have double glazed windows but you can stand on your balcony and take in the sounds of birds and daily life. Our room was clean and had an ensuite. It was a great place to return to after our daily hikes, sit and have a beer in the square, and the staff were very knowledgeable about the local area. I would definitely recommend staying here as a perfect way to relax into life in Andalucia.

    Went here for dinner midweek. Place was not too busy and initially the guy who looked like the owner/manager served us pretty quickly. Drinks ordered and then felt a little rushed to order food. We asked for another 5 min and then had to attract his attention to order. I had fillet and to be fair this was really a well cooked quality cut of beef. My wife had beef stroganoff from the same joint of beef. We could not fault either dish 10/10. We then waited for what seamed like an eternity waiting for the plates to be cleared. By this time the owner/manager was sat on some steps looking at his phone chatting to a mate. Plates eventually cleared and not asked about a dessert or another drink so we left feeling a little disgruntled that he couldn’t be bothered if we were there or not. There’s a cafe/restaurant only 2 min walk from here that we’d been the night before so that’s where we’ll be going in future.

    Stayed at the begining of March for 2 nights. This charming hotel is situated in a small square which is pedestrianised. The host Gustavo, very friendly, showed us around his hotel and suggested a nice walk. The rooms are comfortable, clean and warm with all neccessary amenities and tea making facilities. Good Wi-Fi. Friendly and helpful staff.     Stayed at the begining of January for 2 nights. Set in a small square which is pedestrianised, about 100 m uphill from the main road. Room very much in an old Spanish or Moorish style. All the staff particularly friendly and helpful. Gustavo who works in both the hotel and the restaurant (across the square) was especially helpful as were the two ladies who served breakfast in the restaurant. Room had all neccessary amenities and tea making facilities. There was also free coffee in the second floor lounge. Bed was comfortable, the shower had good power and the balconies.     Beautiful atmospheric setting, delicious food and good service!

    Have enjoyed a couple of very enjoyable evenings here recently, both when there was live music in The Plazq so the atmosphere was great. The food was really tasty with a good selection of main courses and smaller sharing plates, all freshly prepared and served by friendly and efficient staff. We were also privileged to attend a magical wedding in Canillas de Albaida with the reception in The Plaza. Again the food and serve were excellent!
