  Poor food hygiene - DO NOT STAY HERE

  We stayed at Blue Sea Marina Parc on an all-inclusive basis and were extremely disappointed. The food was poor throughout our stay and certainly not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel. It was bad enough, but finding what appeared to be a maggot/larva in our dinner was the final straw.We immediately reported it to management, who apologised and told us what to do next. We followed their instructions and contacted the agency we booked through. However, once we had checked out, the hotel completely went back on what had been said to us, claiming they had already compensated us with a watered-down, pre-mixed cocktail that wasn’t even included in our all-inclusive package.The fact that they consider that an acceptable response to finding a larva in a guest’s food is honestly shocking.Poor food, a serious hygiene concern and then a completely unsatisfactory response afterwards. Definitely not the 4-star all-inclusive experience we paid for.Think very carefully before booking

  Not bad for a mid range holiday

  Was honestly dreading coming here after reading some reviews but had a good week away with the family. Some of the team including Carolina, Monica, Victor and Graham made it a descent week away. Very polite staff, clean park and for a mid range hotel the all inclusive meals were average. Some of it cold but to be expected when they aren’t very busy near end of season. The island is small with limited places to visit although the bus into Mahon was cheap for a day out.Waterpark was good and snack bar had food to order for the kids, they enjoyed the nuggets and burgers.We also booked twin rooms but were upgraded to apartments right by the pool which was nice.All in all, for a mid range hotel it was what is expected to be but would recommend if you enjoy pool days and having some fun, without breaking your bank balance.   We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is a large property with all the perks of a big resort—like an aquapark, multiple pools, and great entertainment—yet it still manages to feel cozy and intimate. Even with full occupancy, the hotel was quiet (!), and there was absolutely no "sunbed war."What we loved:The aquapark: Very fun and attractive.The architecture: Low-rise, guest-friendly buildings. The tiled roofs, green shutters, and matching curtains create a wonderful, charming atmosphere.The downsides:The bathroom: It is definitely in need of refreshment.The food: Typical, average all-inclusive buffet.Overall, our stay was a big plus.   The hotel is quite old, but it has a pleasant atmosphere, the food is varied, and the staff are friendly. However, at certain times, the restaurant service can be quite chaotic, with several food items running out and not being replenished promptly.Unfortunately, our experience with the housekeeping service has been very disappointing. During a one-week stay, our room was cleaned only once, and only after we specifically requested it at reception. Even when the room was cleaned, the towels were not changed. In fact, we had to use the same towels for almost our entire stay, and they were only replaced the day before our departure, after we complained at reception. Even basic supplies such as toilet paper were not replenished. We also asked reception again to have our room cleaned, but despite our request, nobody came.Another significant point of dissatisfaction was the very poor quality of the Wi-Fi connection and mobile phone signal.
