  I recently returned from a short break at the Caramelo Marina Hotel in Cala'n Bosch, and I can honestly say it was the perfect place for a chilled holiday. As a solo traveller, I felt incredibly welcome and looked after from start to finish.Check-in was a little slower than expected as there was a brief hiccup finding my Jet2 Holidays booking, but the staff resolved it quickly and professionally. My first impression of the room was excellent. The hotel reopened in May 2025 after a renovation, and it shows—the rooms are finished to an exceptional standard with large balconies. There are slippers and dressing gowns available. A massive plus is that the room doors are operated via an electronic wristband, meaning no annoying key cards to lose! Also for noting is that there was no charge for using the safe in the room. The entire hotel is kept exceptionally clean and tidy, which is a massive credit to the wonderful housekeeping team who work tirelessly. In fact, all the staff here are absolutely wonderful, friendly, and attentive.Incredible Dining & Great Half-Board SystemThe food here is excellent. Breakfast is a buffet-style setup with a huge amount of choice, offering plenty of both hot and cold options.Poolside Service: The sunbeds are incredibly comfortable. Next to them, you’ll find a QR code to access the pool menu which is different to the menu at the bar/restaurant. Lunch & Dinner: From lunch onwards, the hotel has an à la carte menu. You can eat inside, but I preferred sitting outside on the terrace next to the bar. There is only one restaurant which also serves as a bar. If you book Half Board, you are credited with €35 per person, per day onto your wristband to use on food and drink from lunchtime onwards. Anything you don't use does not carry forward to the next day, but I found this system to be a fantastic idea. While there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, the hotel's food was so good I preferred to stay put! A special shoutout to Paula in the restaurant, who was incredibly helpful. I took her personal food recommendations every time and loved every single dish she suggested!Unlike some places where professional online photos overpromise, the pictures of Caramelo Marina are a true and accurate representation. It is a smaller, more intimate hotel compared to its neighbours, which gives it a much more relaxed, boutique feel.I also visited the beach which is a short walk from the hotel and an excellent little safe cove with beautiful blue waters. There are no sunbeds and does get busy with families.I know there is mention in other reviews about nearby building works. Jet2 Holidays did notify me about this in advance and offered to move me, but I am so glad I didn't change my booking. The works are across on the west side of the hotel and appear to be for a private residence. However, I personally did not find them intrusive at all but I spent majority of my day by the pool. The hours they worked seemed to be from 8am (the balcony doors are excellent at blocking any noise) and they had finished for the day by the time I returned to my room mid afternoon. Overall an absolute 5-star experience. I wouldn't hesitate to go back!   Beautiful hotel, relaxed vibe, live music and great cocktails.

  Just a week here left us so relaxed. The location was fantastic, close to the marina but far enough away to guarantee privacy and quiet. The room was a good size and we were comfortable enough without upgrading. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, so much so that we didn’t need lunch, just an evening meal. The hotel is superbly maintained. The shower cubicle in our room needed a fix and as soon as we mentioned it, it was done. The live music by the pool 2 afternoons a week (violin and sax respectively) was a lovely touch.   Paradise lost

  There is something you need to know before you go. The hotel and staff are lovely but…..There is building work going on opposite this hotel that particularly affects some of the rooms and suites with the lower numbers on each floor. Neither the hotel nor tui informed us of this and decided despite knowing about the work allocated us a room overlooking the site. The noise is from a digger/ jack hammer and is from 8 am until 5 pm ish with a short break in between.

  Wonderful adult only relaxed vibe hotel. We stayed in a Junior suite and requested a Seaview. Room lovely with a view of marina entrance and lighthouse. There was a house been re built opposite which was unfortunately noisy!! moving rooms may have lost view so we stayed put! Pool is nice but a tad cold due to mixed weather we had! Loungers comfy and area never felt crowded. Bar arena lovely and drinks prices comparable to marina.We ate a couple of times in the day and evening and all food is freshly prepared and delicious! Breakfast was lovely. Food could have been a bit warmer but tasted lovely anyway! Pastries fresh and plenty of choice of cheeses and fresh bread. I think breakfast would be improved by a coffee machine as you did have to pay extra for different coffees.Rooms are tastefully designed beds very comfy my only issue was no plugs near the long mirror and no mirror in bedroom either. I personally don't see the point of 2 large tvs but this is personal choice. We only used TV for music.Safe is included in room rate and coffee available in room as well as dressing robe and slippers.What really makes this hotel is the friendly staff especially those working in the restaurant and bar area. Cleaners do a great job as the hotel is immaculate!Hotel is situated close to small beach and 10 minutes from the larger beach with cafe bars. It's so close to the marina and plenty of small supermarkets for water and snacks! .Definitely walk 10 minutes to lighthouse to watch the sunset! It's stunning! Would I stay again? yes definitely!
