Numerous shopping facilities and restaurants are just a few minutes away in the resort centre. Mahon, the lively capital of the island, is some 20 km from the hotel. There is a stop for public transport just in front of the hotel.

Stayed here at the end of September for a week with my family (partner and 4 kids). Hotel is lovely for 3 stars, plenty for kids to do. Food was average for an all inclusive we found the first few days hotel wasn’t as busy and food wasn’t very good but as the week went on the hotel got busier and the food was much better. Breakfast was always good. Onion rings and squid rings from burger bar were our go to when food wasn’t as good. Rooms cleaned daily although there was a big bug not sure if it was a cockroach in our bathroom and my son caught it in a glass n put it in the corner of the room and the maids just ignored it. We had two rooms directly next to each other on A block that looked on to the main pool and the pizza bar. Entertainment at night was decent enough. Staff were all lovely except from one member who could not understand my autistic son needed to remain in his mobility buggy in the restaurant at b block and made us sit at the very first table next to the doors and kept staring at us the full time we were there. Kids park and inflatables at night were ideal! Pools were cold but fine once you braved it. The beach is absolutely stunning we loved it! Probably the highlight of the holiday was the beach. We all had a brilliant time and if it wasn’t for the location we would return. Hotel is out of the bit and nothing much around it for miles and due to this I wouldnt return but we had a great time.

Third and sadly final visit

Third visit to this hotel we called our second home the last 4 years. The entertainment is second to none, most staff very friendly. Pools are great for the children and something for everyone. The beach is just perfection and the absolute best part being right on the hotel. The food in our opinion has gone downhill the last couple of years, snackbar mostly cold/left a while to serve and limited restaurant choice other than fish. With some dirty plates & glasses usually found.Unfortunately in 2025, 5 out of 6 in our party came down with an awful sickness/upset tummy bug. We gave this benefit of the doubt and returned this year. It happened again, the hotel do not seem to take it very seriously, we waited 7 hours for a cleaner to come give fresh sheets etc for the children which is not good enough. We are honestly devastated as we couldnt say enough great things and want to return yearly. Arenal has our hearts but sadly this was our last visit to the aguamarina. I will keep it simple.. do not book this hotel unless you want to be ill!. The hygiene levels in both restauants are shocking. Dirty tables, cutlery and food being handled and coughed all over. No hand sanitisers, no staff on watch...basically a free for all. Large group of us, half all very poorly with sickness and poos. Hotel well aware of this current bug and guest sickness but have done absolutely nothing to try and sort it. I wouldnt come back here if they offered my a free stay. Location is stunning! Views amazing, Atmosphere is pretty much what ever you want it to be. There really is something to suit your every mood, whether it be chilled, lively, family time, time with friends. Rooms are on the small side but have everything you need and are clean on arrival and cleaned daily! Value for money I would say is excellent. We all slept really well and had no problems with noise from anyone or anything. Service across the board was very good, reception were very helpful and quickly resolved a few little issues on our arrival, most staff were lovely and pleasant apart from the odd miserable ones but you get that everywhere! The amenities I would say are exceptional, We actually did not leave the resort until our last day when we had a late transfer and thought we really should venture out and have a look around. I would say to ignore the bad reviews and book this hotel especially if you have a young family! It really is an amazing experience! We would definitely recommend and we will be returning.. Thank You Aguamarina for an amazing holiday! Ps we even tried to extend our stay, the hotel were very helpful with this and gave us a great offer and even a room upgrade but flight prices were too expensive.. That’s how much we loved it and did not want to leave!! Not bad for late getaway

Amazing location, beach is stunning and well kept. Food in the 2 main buffet restaurants really good for a 3 star, what let's the place down though is the hotel is really tired and in need of a refurbishment. Food in snack bar and burger bar cold and really bland, no food offerings available between 10am and 12pm. Not typical all inclusive as there are quite a lot of extras to pay for.
