Overall good, sewage smell would put us off booking again

    rating03 May 2026

Arrived on the 30th of april for 5nights. Booked all inclusive via jet2. 2 adults and 2 daughters aged 9 and 7. Arrived late at night following a delayed flight- transfer was 45min (3rd drop off) . Check in was quick & easy however directions to our room were a bit confusing resulting in getting lost at midnight, & dragging suitcases up & down lots of steps! When we did arrive at the room, it was very clean, with a living room including a sofa bed, kitchenette, decent sized bedroom and bathroom. Unfortunatly the bathroom had an awful sewarage smell for the duration of our trip- we considered asking to be moved but our room was located in a fab location right next to the water park and other facilities so decided to stay put and just open the window to air it out as much as we could. We also noticed a similar smell around the pool on our last day but other days not at all.Food was average all inclusive- not amazing but you wont go hungry! buffet restaurant and snack bar by the pool did burgers, hot dogs and chips which were nice, tubs of icecream at the bar. Drinks were agood (no self service for drinks so i imagine at busier times there would be a decent wait. (ask at the bar for extra vodka in cocktails- they are very weak otherwise! :) The hotel was quiet when we were there, never an issue to get a sunbed and always loads of tables at the buffet. The water park area/splash park is fab for the kids- our girls loved it. The lifeguards did a great job getting to know their names and were really friendly. There are a few beds up there but no bar. Pool is cold but kids didnt have a problem getting in! Goofy in particular is often around the pool setting up activities eg cocktail demonstration, darts etc, he was very friendly, and the kids loved him! The area is very pretty, theres a couple of lovely small beaches nearby, we had a seaview from our room! (booked promotional room).Overall we probably wouldnt book again purely due to the smell in the room however other than this the hotel is generally good.

    Nice Holidays and good Weather

    rating10 Dec 2025

344 / 5.000A very nice hotel right by the sea. The staff were very helpful from the moment we arrived, and almost all the guests were very friendly; there was a great atmosphere. The food was quite average for an all-inclusive hotel, and there were always vegetarian options.A very good option for families because of the water park located within the hotel. Great location, beautiful island, hotel not for us!

    rating01 Nov 2025

We spent 5nights here, during the last week in October. We travelled as a couple with a 14yr old. I must admit the water park on site was one of the reasons I booked for my teenage boy. Sadly the slides etc are very much geared for small children and the photos do exaggerate the size and facilities in it. He didn't use it at all. The beach is literally outside of the hotel, it's definitely worth climbing the steps and walking the wooden path to the larger bay. The sea was warm and the bay is very scenic. We booked a premium 1 bedroom apartment, it had clearly been updated, the bathroom was very nice. We used the sofa bed in the lounge for my son. If you were in the apartment as a couple the space would be adequate, however with 3 we found that there's certainly little room for 3 suitcases and all clothes. The restaurant is very loud, lots of families too busy for us, we tried to eat outside when we could but the wasps were a problem. The food on offer is generally very good and there is certainly lots of choice, unfortunately most of the 'hot' choices were lukewarm at best. I found a microwave in the dining room and used it daily. The organisation of the bar and offer of drinks is very frustrating, during the day the pool bar is the only place to get a drink. The queues are ridiculous, one member of staff on at a time, same when the bar opens near the entertainment and the pool bar closes, the queues just move. The pool was very clean and clear, however, it wasn't heated it was extremely cold! The bus stop is right outside the hotel I would definitely recommend going to Fornells to look around and sample the restaurants. There is a supermarket outside the hotel with a variety of food drink and holiday items, we ended up buying wine most days and having a drink on the balcony rather than queuing, despite having paid for all inclusive. We weren't flying home until 9pm so we enquired about a late checkout on day one, we were told that they wouldn't commit until the morning of departure but as it was end of season they thought it would be fine. Unfortunately on morning of departure it wasn't fine! No other room or shower room offered or available just a large luggage room! We will definitely return to menorca but not this hotel. Susana Cuesta, Other at FERGUS Club Carema Splash, responded to this review Dear LeicesterGeorgia,Thank you very much for your stay and your valuable feedback about the FERGUS Club Carema Splash. We are sorry to hear that on this occasion the standards about our facilities fell below what our guests expect, especially for the storage space available in the room type booked, the waiting times at the bar, as well as for the temperature of the meals in the restaurant along with the impossibility to offer a late check-out or shower room on departure date.We have taken good note of all your remarks, and be assured we will do our best to improve our offering and prevent future occurrence. We certainly hope to welcome you back in the future giving us the opportunity to show you the improvements made in all areas of the hotel.Kind regards and best wishes,Susana Cuesta,Customer Experience.FERGUS CLUB CAREMA SPLASH

Ok hotel but a lot of faults

    rating31 Oct 2025

So we came for 7 night stay at end of October (end of season), we stayed in a premium location room that was perfect if you struggle with hills and steps as there are a lot of hills to get to most of the accommodation blocks. The room was very nice, fairly modern and plenty of room, room was cleaned everyday and you got fresh towels. The resort itself was a bit of a let down, not sure if it was because of it being end of season but the seating area wasn’t massively clean and there were broken seats etc only one bar open at a time which meant long queue to get a drink, the drinks are basic with the cocktails are out of a machine and weren’t always the best we found sticking to beer or spirit and mixer was the best, restaurant was good and the food was also good, most meals were repetitive but every few days they would offer something different but all the food we had was very tasty and the pizza is very good! the snack bar was usually food left over from the meal before and was often cold food so we avoided it. The pool seemed clean and was a good size, there was normally beds available but if you want one in the sun get one early or go after lunch and the splash park/slides were good however offer difficult to get a bed and also a good walk away from the bar another downsize was there are loads of wasps around main pool which meant it was very difficult to relax as they were buzzing around your head all the time and a few people were stung while we were here. The staff were very friendly and it was easy to go out for the day with the buses and taxis and the supermarket at the resort was handy, loads of inflatables for the pool/beach and they had drinks snack to buy and some basic toiletries. Beach was good, very shallow in the sea and often warmer than the pool just watch out for jellyfish! All in all it was a ok hotel, but even at the end of season gets very busy and it doesn’t feel big enough, and I think for the money we paid we could of gone somewhere nicer. Susana Cuesta, Other at FERGUS Club Carema Splash, responded to this review Dear Woodywoodlock,Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at the FERGUS Club Carema Splash. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our rooms and the friendly staff. Our team works hard to provide a welcoming atmosphere and it's great to know that their efforts are appreciated. We are continuously working on improvements, and your feedback is valuable in helping us identify areas that may need attention. Rest assured, we will take your comments into consideration. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future to show you the improvements made.Best regards,Susana Cuesta,Customer Experience.FERGUS CLUB CAREMA SPLASH

A good spot, in a lovely location

    rating24 Oct 2025

A good all round hotel, set in a lovely spot. RoomsWe upgraded to superior sea view and it’s well worth it, the views are lovely and rooms are spacious. It’s worth noting however the hills and steps are something special. We took our 10 month old in a pram which is quite challenging, but it does help burn off the all inclusive! There’s also a very well priced supermarket 1 min away, just in case you forget anything. Food & drink Food was far better than expected considering we went out of season. Fresh fish, meat, salads were all a plenty. They do try change it up a bit too to give some variety. Equally the drinks are good and well stocked, and there’s slushy and ice cream for the kids. Room for improvementCheck in was slow, we were waiting over 20 minutes as we arrived with a coach party and there was just 1 on reception, annoying when you’ve been travelling for ages. Equally, the queues at the bars at the pool and where the evening entertainment is, are ridiculous. There’s often only one on, meaning you’re queuing for 15 mins at a time to get a drink which is frustrating. This might be because they’ve dialled down staffing out of peak season, but it makes wait times a bit silly. All in all, a good stay with the family and we would recommend it Susana Cuesta, Other at FERGUS Club Carema Splash, responded to this review Dear MattgFarrar,Thank you very much for choosing our place for your holidays and the valuable review given to the FERGUS Club Carema Splash. It is always a pleasure to hear that our guests had an enjoyable experience staying with us and recommending us.
