Fantastic location, I’d go back anytime!

    rating09 Sept 2026

What’s not to love! Excellent location and spotless accommodation! We were in one of the blocks of flats and had an excellent view over the rooftops to the other side of the bay. The complex has four blocks of 8 flats plus there are 12 flats above a row of shops and restaurants with a further 6 above a pub and supermarket. Very peaceful but ideally placed! The pool is beautiful and well maintained and there are adequate sun loungers at the pool with some inflatables for the kids there also. The flats are well equipped and very comfortable though self- catering is a bit of a challenge with limited self- catering type food in the shops, only a 2 ring hob, no oven, just a microwave to cook on. There are a couple of pots ( one ridiculously large and one small) and a couple of frying pans but no microwave type containers to cook with. Plenty of dishes, glasses etc. but no wine glasses. The beds (2 singles) are comfy and the air con is effective. There are three supermarkets within easy reach, though one is a slog up hill to the Floramar Apartment complex and, to my mind anyway, not worth the climb. The one lower down the hill, behind the Audax ( Artem) Hotel and the one within the complex are both fine for bread, milk, alcohol and foodstuff.Bar prices in the town are quite high compared to other places ( see my other reviews) but there are plenty of places to eat and drink within easy reach. You can get a bus to Mahon (Mao) or Cuitadella but one of the Cuitadella ones takes longer than the other so watch if you are short of time. You never know which bus will arrive first as it is two competing companies. Is there a downside to Galdana Gardens? Well nothing is perfect but, for me anyway, the smell of cooking from the roof fans at the restaurants mentioned earlier can be smelt as, quite often, there is little breeze to move it away and that could be off-putting for some. Apartment 7 has one restaurant extract fan running through it and that might cause a little noise ( no personal knowledge) while apartment 12 has one up the outside wall. Wine glasses and some microwaveable containers would be helpful but that’s just me as we like to self- cater. Can’t fault the staff, the location or the complex, I’d go back anytime.

Wonderful experience! Great Apartments! Highly Recommend!

    rating18 Jun 2026

We booked this apartment based on the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. I had emailed them beforehand and asked for a high floor and twin beds - these requests were indeed granted. We stayed in Room 38 in one of the blocks and had a lovely view of the pool, opposite cliffs and a partial sea view. We saw the moon rise in the evenings and it was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean and the air conditioning was super. Pool towels are provided which is a nice touch, as was the bottle of water on arrival. The shower was powerful and hot. There was a lot of space around the sink and a large drawer to put toiletries. The kitchen had a large fridge with freezer, kettle and basic cooking facilities/utensils. There is a TV in the lounge area but we did not use it. The balcony is nice with a table and chairs and a small line to hang a few items to dry. We slept well. The rooms get cleaned twice a week and it was done to a high standard. Staff at reception were friendly and gave us advice on local buses and timetables. There's also a small book exchange. The pool is on the small side but perfectly adequate for our needs and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. There are very clean toilets and showers around the back. The WIFI was ok, could be a bit sketchy at times but on the whole it worked fine for what we needed. The pool WIFI probably worked better than the room WIFI.There are several local supermarkets within 5 mins walk which stock everything you need - water/drinks, fresh pastries and bread each morning (amazing!) and the one around the corner does baguettes made to order and these were lovely! Plus freshly squeezed orange juice. We took one of the baguettes to the airport for lunch to save on inflated prices. The town itself is small but lovely. The sheltered beach is a 5mins walk - we hiked to the viewpoint at the far side of the beach to watch the sunset (just follow the beach all the way around to the other side and then go up the steps when you come to them), turn right at the top. We hiked to two of the coves (one in either direction) - both are a 2.2km walk. We found the walk to Cala Mitjana is easier. The one to Cala Macarella is through woodland, but there is a restaurant here and more facilities. Both are worth the effort and are very beautiful. We can recommend several restaurants: Sa Lluna, Alaska, El Mirador (order a paella and eat with views overlooking the Bay) and Delit Pizzeria. But to be fair, all the restaurants we went to were nice. There are several souvenir shops to buys gifts and things for the beach/pool.We caught a direct bus to the capital Mahon (Mao), took about an hour and cost 4.45 euros each way - the bus gives change. There aren't many buses, so get to the bus stop early to bag a seat! Really worth a visit - you can do boat trips and eat tapas in the market, wonder the cute streets and waterfront. We also went to Ciutadella by direct bus - 3.05 euros each way and takes about 35mins. There are more frequent buses but not that many. Worth a visit - make sure you visit the cathedral and cloisters etc. On certain days they have a market. The bus stop in Cala Galdana is a 2mins walk from the apartments on the main road by a roundabout.I would recommend staying here and we really enjoyed our stay - would return. It was a lovely relaxing holiday.

    Beautiful area and excellent Apartments

    rating29 May 2026

Lovely apartments sleeps 4 easily. 2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living area with pull out beds or sleep on the sofa beds. Really well equipped. Microwave, hairdryer all utensils. They have been described previously as basic but I don't think they are. You have everything you could need for self-catering. Lovely pool and well-kept gardens. Shops, supermarkets, and restaurants just outside the entrance. Beach over the road. It's such a beautiful area. With a gorgeous beach. Many returning guests who have been coming for years. Cleaners were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Excellent shower, powerful and water hot.

    Always great to

    rating24 May 2026

Second visit to Galdana Gardens this May and, just like last time, it has been absolutely fantastic. The apartments and grounds are always spotless and very well maintained, and it really has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The BBQ area was a great addition and we made good use of it twice during our holiday. What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff are absolutely lovely — they work meticulously and keep everything to such a high standard. One thing that stood out to me was how many returning guests there were. Everyone we spoke to had stayed here more than once, and one couple told us this was their 40th visit, which says everything about how good Galdana Gardens really is.We would happily return again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming and well-run place to stay.

A great few days in the sun

    rating30 Aug 2025

We went for my daughters 40th birthday with friends and family. Galdana Gardens itself could probably do with a little overhaul and being brought upto 2025 but that said it is lovely. The pool was amazing. The children swimming in it were there till 10.30 at night. The location was perfect. Beach over the road, plenty of bars and restaurants and just lots to do and see. I highly recommend this place event without the overhaul.
