This apartment complex is located in the villa quarter and. only 500 m away from the sea. The capital; Mahón and its picturesque old town, which are well worth a visit, lies around 10 km from the hotel and can easily be reached by scheduled buses. Shopping facilities can be found in the hotels immediate vicinity.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 256 apartments and 22 studios located in a 2-storey main building and 10 auxiliary buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Quick break in the sun

    We have just returned from a 4night stay at this hotel. Despite being apprehensive with the trip advisor rating this hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely central room in the top floor overlooking the complex it was clean and had ample space for the 3 of us.There is only the hotel and the cove for exploration, for us that was fine. The food was always plentiful at every mealThe pool always had free sun beds with no need to reserve Staff are all super friendly and smiling despite my poor attempts at Spanish! We would 100% come back and can’t quite understand its low rating.

    We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Ticked lots of our boxes from what we like from a hotel. Very clean, staff friendly and hard working. We went all inclusive and enjoyed all the variety of food which was cooked very well and lots of choices. On one of the lunch times there was a saxophonist player in the dining room, an absolute delight.We really liked our room, very clean, spacious and modern. We always like to take our own toiletries but hotel had full range of toiletries on offer but you need to ask from reception this is only because they practice excellent environmental policies. We played tennis, visited the gym, played pool, used the swimming pools (they provided pool towels free) there's plenty of sunbeds. There is two little shops and a little walk in the direction of the beach is a small restaurant which does food & lovely cocktails too, overlooking the beautiful cove. We found the entertainment was ok. We really liked the all inclusive drinks, especially the pina colada for me. There's a bus stop right by the hotel, which goes to Mahon. We had a lovely afternoon there. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and 100% will return. Thank you All .....

    We recently stayed at Grupotel Mar de Menorca and unfortunately came away very disappointed overall.I want to start with the positives because the staff honestly made this hotel. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, hardworking and genuinely tried their best to help. Reception, maintenance staff and Rosa from the hotel team were all excellent, and you really couldn’t ask for better from them. Unfortunately, it often felt like the staff were constantly trying to make up for shortcomings elsewhere in the hotel.The rooms themselves were actually fairly modern and nicely presented, and having TVs in both the bedroom and living area was a nice touch. However, the bathrooms were very small and compact. The supplied toiletries were poor quality, especially the combined body wash/shampoo, and even the hand soap felt very cheap.One of the worst design features was the bathroom door, which was a frosted glass-style door with large gaps at both the top and bottom. This meant there was very little sound privacy at all, and everyone else in the room could clearly hear whenever the bathroom was being used, which quickly became uncomfortable and awkward.The location was also not quite as expected. The hotel is much further back and uphill from the beach than it appears online, with several steep inclines and walkways. Anyone with mobility issues or accessibility concerns should definitely be aware of this before booking.Unfortunately, we also experienced repeated room problems during the stay, including multiple room moves and strong sewage odours in some of the lower rooms, particularly after rainfall. Maintenance staff did attend and tried to help, but the smell was unpleasant and noticeable enough to affect comfort and sleep.The biggest issue throughout the stay though was the food hygiene and overall food standards. In my opinion, the quality was well below what I would expect even from a standard 3-star hotel, never mind a resort advertised as 4-star all-inclusive.Much of the food appeared low quality, poorly prepared or sitting for long periods, and it genuinely became a daily mission trying to find something that both looked properly cooked and decent quality. A lot of the meat served seemed to consist mostly of fat, gristle or cheap offcuts rather than proper cuts of meat. By midway through the holiday we found ourselves repeatedly resorting to pizza because it was one of the few things that consistently seemed edible and safely cooked.On one evening I was served pork that was visibly pink/red inside, and afterwards became unwell with stomach issues that affected a significant part of the holiday.One positive worth mentioning is that the soft drinks were actually very good compared to many all-inclusive resorts. They tasted like proper branded drinks rather than cheap watered-down alternatives, which was appreciated.My partner also tried several of the included cocktails and felt the standard all-inclusive options were fairly poor quality. However, there was the option to pay extra for a premium drinks menu, which appeared to offer a much better range and higher-quality cocktails but still not top shelf names so I don’t see the point in all-inclusive if they still expect payment for sub standard drinks.The evening entertainment was also disappointing overall and felt very low budget for a hotel marketed as 4-star. Some acts were enjoyable enough in the background, but others honestly felt amateurish to the point where it was difficult to tell whether they were intended as comedy acts or professional performers.Overall, in my opinion this hotel does not reflect what I would personally expect from a 4-star Spanish resort. Based on the overall experience particularly the food standards, maintenance issues, room problems and entertainment — I would rate it much closer to a 3-star hotel at best.The staff deserve huge credit because they were genuinely excellent throughout, but sadly the overall standard of the resort itself really let them down.
