Location

The hotel is surrounded by nature, just 2 km from the village of San Lluis and the beach at Cala Alcaufar. It is the ideal base for excursions to other parts of the island. The hotel is situated less then 5 min from some of the island’s best restaurants. Mahon Airport is approximately 10 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1773. Guests have a choice of 10 junior suites, 2 suites, 2 single rooms and 9 double rooms located in a 2-storey main building and 3 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services include medical assistance, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is among the standard amenities in the rooms. Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request.     Beautiful Historical Building with Great Service

    Stayed here as part of our Inn Travel cycling holiday. It was fabulous. The rooms were extremely spacious with great amenities. Luxury robes and coffee machine. We had breakfast with plenty of variety, focusing on fresh and local produce. The evening meal also had plenty of choices, meat and fish. Really enjoyed the food, and excellent wine. Enjoyed a few cocktails sat in the courtyard. The pool was fresh and welcome after a hot cycle. All the staff were so welcoming, made you feel relaxed and certainly well looked after. We loved staying here. A fantastic building with lots of history.

    An impressive fortified Manor House which has been beautifully restored with many original features and antiquities. A peaceful garden with very clean swimming pool and extensive grounds extending down to the coast by paths [ map at reception] . Meals served in garden or courtyard . Half board menu was large enough for a varied choice for our 4 night stay. Food was excellent and house wines good . Service mostly excellent with some variation with staffing levels/ customer numbers ratio. The environs are so pleasant that at times of slower service it didn’t feel a nuisance . Staff were mostly young and friendly with good language skills. A spacious relaxed and tranquil place which you share with the occasional wild Hermans tortoise .

    Peaceful and elegant rural hotel in beautiful setting

    Lovely luxurious rural hotel with very nice staff. We stayed for 3 nights near the beginning of the season. The house and grounds are beautiful- an old Manor House that has been tastefully modernised with lovely outdoor seating and pool (unheated so cold in April!). Breakfast was very good but dinner in the restaurant was a little disappointing. The food and presentation was good but served on cold plates so not very hot which was a shame. It is a lovely place to stay.

    Garden terrace room was huge , comfortable and private. Complimentary minibar, pool towels and robes.The garden was magical and restaurant dinner and breakfast excellent,A beautiful experience and lovely warm welcome..Great walking through the estate to the coast. And tortoises - who could want more!

    We went for an anniversary meal that had to become a marriage proposal. They ruined the entire celebration by "forgetting" the cake (confirmed by phone the same day), by complaining we only received bad manners and even threats Not recommended !!! Alcaufar Vell Menorca, Dueño at Alcaufar Vell, responded to this review Benvolgut Sr. Jaume T.Què curiós amagar-se darrera d’un perfil de nova creació i escriure en anglès.Ja esperàvem poder tornar-lo a saludar per alguna d'aquestes webs de crítiques tant constructives que ronden per la xarxa. Què bé que hagi escollit Tripadvisor, xarxa que està morint per la seva falta de credibilitat i certificació.Veiem que no va quedar escarmentat de l'altre dia, després de comunicar-li que faríem denúncia a la policia si no tornava a l’establiment i abonava els serveis prestats al restaurant. Vostè va decidir marxar sense pagar amb absoluta premeditació com es veu en les imatges de les càmeres i sense comunicar personalment a l'equip que el va atendre cap incidència en el servei.Salut!J.
