    What an amazing experience

    rating28 May 2026

Wow, Wow, WowWe had the pleasure of visiting the Melia Cala Galdana earlier this month as my in-laws had already been last October and were so blown away they decided to return and bring us along ( that’s never happened, they always had a motto to never return and always adventure new) so that gives you an idea how they felt. We had booked for 5 nights bed and breakfast. When we arrived after a very early start, and a hot coach ride we were greeted by massive smiles from the reception team and a cold glass of bubbles that went down a treat. We were a little early so the staff invited us to explore a little and assured us our cases would be in our rooms, true to their word when we returned our rooms were beautifully made up with our cases in and the absolutely breathtaking view out to the sea was to die for. We truly fell in love with the island and having such an amazing base made our time there even better. The mornings breakfasts were always well stocked with loads of choice and deliciously prepared, the staff were attentive and accommodating which made it enjoyable. We had some great entertainment in the evenings with live singers and a great atmosphere. We loved it so much we (also never go back to the same place twice) have already booked to return in September but for 9 nights and are now counting down the days till we return. A massive thank you to all the staff that made our stay such a memorable one it’s bringing us back.

    Anniversary treat

    rating16 May 2026

I stayed in a junior suite with level access for a week last July. The room was fantastic & our view was incredible. Our check in at the level was good with welcome drinks but our room wasn’t ready & it would have been nice to have a guided tour rather than just be given a map. For example we struggled to work out where to get our pool towels from even trying the beach bar where the staff didn’t know. We also didn’t know the sunbeds on the beach were operated by another company so additional charge either which was embarrassing on the first day as we did not have cash on us & it couldn’t be charged to the room.We were half board & I have to say the food & service in the level & buffet restaurant was excellent. The level infinity pool was great with iced water, towels & even suncream & sunbed service got drinks and snacks. There was always a sunbed available & it had a great view of the beach too. We celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay & we’re treated to complimentary cava & chocolates which was a lovely suprise. I highly recommend this hotel & hope to return soon. Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Cala Galdana, responded to this review Dear Madam,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay with us at Meliá Cala Galdana. We're delighted you appreciated the junior suite's design and the breathtaking views from your room.Your kind words about the complimentary anniversary treats bring us joy, as we always aim to make special moments memorable. The Level infinity pool's amenities and consistent sunbed availability clearly enhanced your relaxation time.We acknowledge the initial orientation could have been clearer regarding towel stations and third-party beach services, which we'll ensure to communicate more effectively. It's rewarding to hear our culinary offerings and service in both The Level and buffet restaurant met your expectations. We hope that we have the pleasure of seeing you again in the near future. Kind regards,Lara D.Meliá Cala Galdana Team

First time at Melia Cala Galdana, Menorca

    rating09 May 2026

A short 5 night stay at the end of April at this hotel was perfect. The season officially starts on 1 May so some of the restaurants and bars in the town were still to open but busy enough. Consequently the hotel was quiet too, although getting busier as the days went on. Our room was lovely and bright, nicely furnished and spotless with a view to die for over the bay. We upgraded to The Level and would recommend as this gives access to an additional adult-only pool as well as complementary snacks and drinks in The Level lounge from lunchtime onwards until early evening. There’s also an à la carte breakfast served here in addition to a buffet selection. Thanks go to Iris for looking after us so well and to Tetiana also. Our preference is for adult-only, all- inclusive holidays but we were pleasantly surprised. That said not sure we’d want to be there in the high season when the schools are on holiday. Already considering a return in October. Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Cala Galdana, responded to this review Dear Guest,We appreciate the time you have taken to share your opinion on your recent experience at Meliá Cala Galdana. We are delighted your room provided a bright, comfortable retreat with breathtaking bay views. It’s wonderful to hear The Level’s exclusive amenities, like the adult-only pool and lounge offerings, enhanced your stay. Our team takes great joy in providing attentive service to ensure memorable moments. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes,Lara D., Voice of Customer Coordinator

A lovely stay but a four star experience

    rating07 May 2026

Melia Cala Galdana is in an exceptional location, right on one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve experienced. The setting alone is what makes this hotel special. That said, it didn’t feel like a true five-star experience overall. The room, a Level Junior Suite, was stunning, with an extraordinary view and everything we needed. Paying extra for The Level is worthwhile for the quieter areas, included drinks and upgraded snacks versus the main buffet. However, there were several disappointments:- The food offering was limited and underwhelming at times; lukewarm dishes, tired pasta, school-canteen-style pizzas and watery salads. To experience variety, you need to pay extra for the speciality restaurants.- Service was inconsistent: some staff were excellent and warm, while others felt abrupt or disinterested.- Small touches matter in luxury hotels. Being told off for taking the “wrong towel” to the beach, and for using more than one towel, felt unnecessarily petty. Five-star hospitality should feel abundant and relaxed.- We were also asked to pay for drinks by the Level pool because charges hadn’t linked correctly to our room, which created avoidable stress during the holiday.- Even within The Level, the experience didn’t always feel generous, for example, when we asked for more Aperol, we were simply told no, it had run out.Overall, it was a lovely stay because the beach and views are spectacular, but not especially good value for money. You’re largely paying for the location. For comparison, you can stay at an Ikos resort with truly exceptional all-inclusive food and service for less money. This hotel has many positive features but don't expect a five star stay, it's safely four star. Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Cala Galdana, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your stay with us.We are pleased to hear that our location on Cala Galdana beach and the views from your Level Junior Suite added so much to your experience. Thank you for appreciating the value of The Level and the comfort of its quieter spaces, included drinks, and enhanced snacks. However, we regret that the overall food variety and quality did not meet your expectations, and we acknowledge your remarks regarding the buffet and specialty restaurant pricing. We are sorry that you found the service to be inconsistent, with some encounters feeling less attentive. The experience with the beach towel allocation and limitations is noted, and we understand this policy impacted the feeling of luxury for you.We also apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with drink charges at The Level pool, and for moments when The Level did not feel as generous as anticipated, particularly regarding aperitifs. Your comment about value has been taken into account. It is important to us that our guests feel relaxed and well cared for throughout their stay, especially in the areas exclusive to The Level. We hope to welcome you back for another stay where we can provide you with an improved experience.Kind regards,Lara D., Voice of Customer Coordinator

    Exercise class at Melia

    rating06 May 2026

Excellent classes led by Jota. On my first day I did a strengthening class and Jota personalised the movement to suit my needs and I had a great workout. My second class was a beautiful yoga practice- one of the best and most relaxing classes I’ve done. Highly recommend.
