  Room for improvement

  We recently returned from a lovely 2 week holiday at Minura Cala Galdana in a 2 bedroom apartment. We enjoyed our stay and there were some very good points and some that could be improved. The complex is large but kept immaculate by the hard working staff. The apartment was cleaned daily, also to a high standard. In the restaurant, dirty plates etc were quickly cleared away and the food in the buffet was always hot and never ran out.Our apartment, which overlooked the stage, was an old building which had had a refresh with smart furniture, and very comfortable sofas and beds and loads of storage. There was plenty of crockery in the small kitchen but we would have liked a small sharp knife, chopping board, wine glasses and decent sized mugs.The most disappointing aspect were the sunbeds and parasols around the small pool by Oasis. They were in very poor condition with many of them broken or bent. We didn’t use the main pool, but they pool furniture there did seem better than that at the small pool. Overall, an excellent holiday in a good complex but with room for improvement.   All the hoilday was lovely staff helpful and friendly and beach was close and clean pools at hotel was lovely plenty of sunlounger towels supplied we had a two bedroom apartment ??   Clean, comfortable and relaxing holiday.

  Just back from a lovely week at the Minura Cala Galdana. The hotel is spotless and the staff and service are 1st class. From our check in to leaving everyone was courteous and friendly. We had to wait a little while for our room to be ready, but it was worth the wait, a large pool facing room with a large terrace was excellent. Guadeloupe (I hope I've got the spelling correct) at reception was amazing and so helpful. All the reception staff were very nice. Food was excellent and I love seafood and there was always a wide selection available. Lots of other options were plentiful as well. Pool was great and easily accessible for people with disabilities which was great for my wife. Pool had a built in Jacuzzi which was superb. Overall our stay was very comfortable and relaxing.   Recently stayed here 26/9-3/10 Well the staff really make this hotel. We are a couple in their 30s worried this hotel may not be for us. I can only say good things. When we got here they upgraded us for free to an apartment which we were not expecting. Jesus brought our bags up for us and joking along the way about poor English. When he spoke brilliant English. We hired the car and went around the island exploring the coves and beach’s for days of snorkelling. Only had a pool afternoon in the smaller of the 2 pools and it was lovely. Always sun beds around when we walked past. We were half board and there was always a good selection. Something for everyone. We wanted to have a shout out to ruby one of the many servers running about. Always working very hard and stood out to us. The chef who was in the show kitchen at the back was working so hard but we didn’t get chance to get his name. He was there most evenings and quality of food he cooked was brilliant. The restaurant was always clean, not long before tables were cleaned. Always topping food up. Never in short supply. In the evening entertainment was around the pool until 10:15 we mostly went to the lighthouse pub to play our nightly game of pool and Sandra and juan were so busy most evenings. Especially with the football on Always smiling and couldn’t do enough for you. The restaurant by the small pool always had live music in the evenings which is a nice touch.Rooms were cleaned as much or as little as you would like. The whole hotel everywhere you looked was squeaky clean. We really could not fault this hotel. A short walk to the beach and shops along the front. The weather wasn’t meant to be kind to us towards the end of the holiday but the sun just kept shining. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
