  Fabulous place to stay albeit rooms very small but immaculately clean. Continental breakfast excellent.Downside nowhere to get a snack all a very expensive menu.Staff lovely.We have been coming for years and went down to road to Piccolos to eat but general opinion is prices have gone up 50% and again you can’t get a snack.However I love the place it is what it is and except for the lack of a snack at lunchtime I would rate it 5 star - will be back.

  A relaxing holiday down memory lane.

  We haven't visited this hotel for over 25 years and were worried that it might have changed for the worse, but we needn't have worried .........it was still wonderful. The staff were fabulous and the location was perfect, we'll be back again next year.

  We just took our granddaughter to Alcafar today so she could spend some time on the beach and swim, thought it would be nice to have lunch on the hotel terrace. However this was a big mistake, very limited choice and what we did order wasn’t great, waiter just banged a jug of Sangria on the table and walked away didn’t even pour the first glass. We asked for a dessert menu but after another 30 minutes it hadn’t appeared so we decided to give up and eventually managed to get our bill, I have never known my husband not leave a tip but today was a first. The staff were rude and certainly don’t have customer service skills unless it would seem you are Spanish! I thought I was perhaps being over sensitive but after reading some of the reviews on here maybe not!

  An authentic gem - don't tell anyone!

  One almost doesn't want to write a review for this great little hotel - the longer it stays a hidden gem the better. But that would not be fair on the wonderful owners and staff. The setting is straight from movie and the feeling on the ground is just as authentic. It's the beautiful water and swimming that stand out the most. We'll be back!

  I have been going to Hotel Xuroy for about 11 years. This time, although still a lovely place to chill out, cut backs showed. No one on reception to greet any guest. No sign to say go to bar to check in. For the first time ever our room was not ready. But as the week progressed it seemed only two cleaners. They do a brilliant job making sure cleanliness is of a high standard. The waiters seemed very rushed. It's the little things like sun beds weren't put back until following morning. No half board anymore. Snd rumour has it they are thinking towards families staying there. There is nothing there. That it is the beauty of this hotel. Folk return year after year which says alot for a nice quiet relaxing holiday. Personally to invite families is a huge mistake. Breakfast this time was the same every day. Please Hotel Xuroy put your faith in those that return year after year. There is a perfectly good reason for that. You have a lovely hotel as it is. Please don't make it commercialised.
