  Hotel ok but shame to director

  I’m staing in this hotel front the 15 of may leaving the 2nd of June. The hotel is ok, excepts for some little thing that would need to be adjusted to deserve the standard that they have and to justify the cost .. however more or less ok. Breakfast is Perfekt especially compared to more others hotel. The problem is the sensibilities of the Director. It happen to me a thing that in 36 years of travelling a lot all around the world ( minimum 20 time per years) it never happened and vever thing that could do. They have a low in that island ( I wasn’t aware about it otherwise for sure I do never choose to come here for vacation) to not feed the cat and there is panel of advertisement everywhere to infourm that there is a penality from 500 to 10.000 euro. OF COURSE I do not care of this low as far as it is totally not right and must of all UNBELIAVABLE .. however yesterday morning when I was riding the cat that stays every morning around there hungry waiting for food This arrogant man come saing that he is the “owner “ of the hotel and I need to remove the food that I gave to the cat. There is no owner of the hotel because it is a worldwide company owned by investor and he is none of them. But doesn’t matter to me if this person had this kind of personality problem. THE FACT IS THE SHAME SHAME SHAME about this behavior with the pour cats. Nothing more to say than Shame on him

  Returned to Binibeca after 30 years and can say its not changed a great deal, is stunning with a few restaurants and bars , supermarkets and its own beach. The hotel itself is in a stunning location,right on the sea front, staff are amazing and very helpful. Breakfast was great , everything you could ask for , even prosecco 🥂 Yes certain parts could do with a paint or modernising but expect budgeting constraints. Overall could not fault, 4 night break in a great location.Any doubts or questions please ask.   Room and breakfast disappointing.

  Positives: Reception staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Pool areas are very clean, peaceful, and a great area to relax and soak up amazing views across the bay and binibeca vell with its whitewashed houses.Negatives: Although the breakfast area had good choices of hot and cold foods, pastries and fruits, this was severely ruined by the amount of flies on many parts of the food on display. It put us off being able to choose and enjoy food that we have paid for. I am not talking about 1 or 2 flies here, but dozens crawling about on all the pastries, yoghurt, fruit, bread. There is a simple solution in covering the food up in a manner that is easily accessed by the customer but prevents contamination by unwanted flies. Easy! Room: We were disappointed with the room we were allocated. Im no snob believe me! I can cope with the odd issue, but this room took this to another level. Damp ceiling, dirty lamps, mould in shower, door to bathroom in poor condition, bedside lamps dirty, and one was split. Overall, the room for the amount we paid was very poor value. I have attached photos of the areas described here. Based on our experience, we would not return back to this hotel but definitely will return back to Binibeca vell as it was amazing.   Going Downhill

  Third time we've been to this hotel first time amazing.. Second time was good but the room view was a brick wall..This time we opted for a junior suite Well it was large enough with a terrace surrounded by a brick 🧱 and the main road..what a view Not..When the light is on in the bathroom you feel spied on as there are no screens just a token of obscure frosted glass... The patio area needed a good clean and the furniture requires upgrading. The bed was amazingly big and comfy..No kettle or pan to boil any water.. Breakfast was great although the flies were very annoying...Some staff the meet and greet bloke for breakfast and a couple of waiters and waitresses both and breakfast and the pool bar..The others were rude ignorant even though we tried to communicate with our little Spanish..The walkways around the hotel are slippy, wobbly uneven with faltering hand rails..For the price it needs a total upgrade, Smiling and more attentive staff..Will probably be choosing another hotel when we go to see family living in menorca next year..   Good hotel but needs work

  We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved the view from our room (number 11). It directly faced the ocean and Binibeca village, making it one of the best spots on the row. The bed was very comfortable with good-quality linen, and we also liked having a sofa area to relax in. Having a small kitchen was another bonus, as it allowed us to prepare our own snacks and enjoy them on the terrace.However, I found it disappointing that no sponge, washing-up liquid, or even a tea towel was provided. At £140 per night, and especially for such a short stay, it seems unreasonable to expect guests to purchase these basic essentials. The room was cleaned on our second day, but the dirty plates were left in the sink, so we ended up washing them with hand soap! The room itself looked lovely at first glance, but on closer inspection there were noticeable marks on the walls, filled holes, and mould around both the shower tray and shower head. At this price point, I don’t think that’s acceptable.The common areas outside the room were also in poor condition. The wooden walkway that ran all the way across the front of the hotel from one end to the other was loose and broken in parts, lifting up as you walked on it. The handrail on the steep steps nearby was also loose, which felt unsafe. The wooden decking around the pool above our room was lifting too, creating a clear trip hazard. These issues really need urgent attention as someone could get badly injured. Breakfast was fine, with a nice selection of Spanish meats that we enjoyed, but there were a lot of flies landing on the food. The hotel could definitely do more to manage this. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant, so I can’t comment on those.This is a beautiful property in a unique and stunning location, but it requires significant maintenance and attention to detail to live up to its potential.
